Used to monitor temperature of an electronic rack
I have used 5 of these to monitor the inside of electronic racks so that I can see the temperature on the front of the rack. They appear to be reasonably accurate compared to other calibrated temperature devices in the room (in the morning when i arrive and everything was shutdown overnight). I have had no failures, batteries last probably close to a year, but I didn't record any info on that, it wasn't a nuisance at least.

Great!
These are wonderful, easy to use and I have changed batteries. Don’t get them wet!

You get what you pay for, but for what they cost that get the job done
They work! For me, this is sufficient. Bought these for the fishing bags (salt, fresh & fly). Wanted to track water temp data in the logs this year. Saw some YTubers using this style and for the low entry point, I said sure, why not. They are cheaply made. They feel all the plastic they are made from. And they come boxed with batteries installed so who knows how much life is still in them (a complaint seen in other reviews here). This all being said, they work! Accuracy was tested against a digital cooking thermometer. Results were very close, within my margin of error. They’ll do. I like the metal end temp probe. I’ve read metal is more accurate and faster responding. These do adjust to changes in water temp quickly.A couple hacks to improved longevity. 1- add drop of silicon sealer to rear where probe wire exits plastic casing. Minimize that chafe point. 2- when storing, flip one battery upside down. Unit won’t run. Battery won’t drain. 3- I added a sleeve of shrink wrap to where the metal probe attached to the lead wire. I had all these extras so there wasn’t added cost to make these mods. It will simply make me feel better. Not necessary but can’t hurt and should help.My pictures attached, incl. one with battery flipped. For $10, if I only get one season out of each, I’ll consider it a fair exchange. Happy with the ROI. Hoping they surprise me and hold up.

I put them to instant use in my fridge and freezer
Now I know the range of temperatures in my fridge and freezer and can set it up for the longest life of my perishable foods. I'm tempted to 3DP a holding frame to secure on the outside of the fridge.

Came with dead batteries
I chose to return these. All of the included batteries were dead. I'm surprised they would send the batteries installed in the thermometer, where they could drain, before use.Three thermometers, two batteries each = six dead batteries. These were relatively inexpensive and I could have bought some batteries, had I known in advance. Unfortunately, I need these for a project. Without working batteries I had to go a different route.I decided to upgrade my review. As a result of the dead batteries, I was unable to use these, so I can't comment on how well they might have worked. After giving it some thought, I felt one star was a bit harsh for this particular situation.

Good value
Can't beat the deal but they are made to snap into a mounting hole, but you can stick them in place with double sided tape.

Disappointing Accuracy
These arrived today and they are quite disappointing on several levels.Others have already mentioned that the -58 degree range is complete fabrication. In a freezer test, two of the thermometers read LO while the 3rd was hovering at 3.9F. A lot of people have said they go "Lo" at -4. If that's the case, then one of the thermometers was off by almost 8 degrees. I suspect that the ones I received were going Lo at 0. Either option is unacceptable in temping a freezer. In a refrigerator test, all three settled around 41 degrees. I had a cooking probe thermometer that I added to the mix. It came in at 37. The refrigerator was set at 34, so I need to do more testing! As they were warming to room temperatures, one of them had as much as a 6 degree temperature differential from the others. Once they all came up to temp, they settle back down to the 2 degree differential. But even when they settled on a temp, all three units were reading 3+ degrees higher than the weather station on my desk, which matches the performance I saw in the refrigerator test.I'm also concerned that the batteries were installed and the thermometers active when I opened the packages. How long have they been reading the temperature in the Amazon warehouse? Do I have 2 years before they go dead? Or 2 weeks?I'm tempted to say that they aren't bad for the price, but if you can't trust a thermometer to be accurate, it's not worth anything.

Not perfect but good enough and even great if you can subtract
They read in the tenths but temps between them can average 1 degree difference or so. What is great is that they CONSISTENTLY change temperature enabling you to set one as zero and subtract 10ths as needed for very accurate readings across the board, down to the tenths, at a very cheap price.
