Kokum Butter - Light, Firm Butter, Use to Make Soap, Lotion Bars, Lip Balm, Body Butter - Scent-Free - 1lb by Better Shea Butter

I make my own all natural body care products and I usually get my unrefined yellow shea butter from BSB and it never disappoints! I bought this kokum butter to use in my lotion bars and lip balms and my original order, the kokum butter was dry, crumbly and had unusual white patches throughout the butter (likely due to loose packaging and exposure to air causing it to dry out and lose moisture). Anywho.. I contacted the seller, and she sent me a replacement right away! I am so happy with the product and the customer service. I will definitely be purchasing from BSB again! My kokum butter lip balms turned out amazing!!

This is a great product. I have natural hair and I use it in addition to other butters in which my hair is left feeling like silk. I will continue to order again in the future. Just what a natural need for their hair.

I use this to make hair grease

This butter in my opinion is superior to shea butter. It is almost orderless which makes it blend well with essential oils. It is not as greasy as shea butter and mixed really well with mango butter. Definitely purchasing this again!

very ultra moisturizing. I tried to blend it with massage lotion, could never get it to completely melted down,not the companies fault on that one. I really like this stuff , I think it's the seed within the plant that is harvested.I mix with coconut oil . Put it on low on the stoveGetting ready to order for the 3rd time..So yes I really like it...So i go from Shea to Kokum, to mango butters with coconut oil . It's funNot one way I just experiment .

This kokum butter is a great additive to lotion bars. It is a dryer butter, meaning it absorbs more quickly into your skin and leaves a dryer, less greasy feeling. Definitely will be ordering more!!

I like that it has faint scent. However, it was difficult to apply as it was very grainy and did not arrive as a smooth bar. It was unpleasant trying to rub it onto my skin and did not melt fully when applied to skin even after a few minutes, so little grains of it fell onto floor. However, the amount that did get onto my skin feels like it is locking in the moisture and helping to relieve itch from my eczema.

I was so excited to see that this brand now carries kokum butter; I bought some immediately. It's very firm like a halfway between cocoa butter and mango butter. It's crumbly and grainy so my recommended use would be in diy cosmetic where you'd melt the butter and mix it with other ingredients. So far i have used it in a lip balm and a body lotion and they're lovely. However, the texture personally doesn't bother me for use on its own: using a small amount by melting in your hands softens the skin beautifully. All in all its a great butter to add to your collection if you're a die-hard DIYer.
