This is a well-built rack and it really made sense to have two. As you are grilling with one, you are loading the other up as you shuck. I wound up removing the oysters with bbq tongs anyway. I suppose I really could have just lain them on the grate directly.

These racks work perfectly to roast oysters. The spaces for the shells hold either small or large shells. As opposed to the cast iron option, this doesn't require preheating and allows the oysters to cook through quickly. The shells fo not tip over, therefore the oyster liquid stays in place. Very easy to put in dishwasher. Excellent price!

These grill racks for Oysters work beautifully. We just clean the oysters as we would anyway, then put them rounded side down on the grill racks and put on the hot barbeque grill. We close the lid and let them smoke for about 5 minutes. They come out open and delicious, but we add a pat of compound butter on top of each and close the lid to let them smoke for another minute while the butter melts. Yum! (The compound butter I make for this has fresh garlic and dill. Simple and tasty.
