The Calling: A Novel Paperback – January 14, 2014

I have read several of Ms. Fisher's books and this series is one of my favorites! She writes several series books and I recommend that you read them in order or to me you will miss some rich character developments and plots that would not make sense otherwise. This series has me glued to it all through my Christmas break. The storylines and characters are not what you might expect from the Amish community. This series starts out with a widow with children that is living with her very cranky mother in law. I love how this series weaves the lives of the Inn guests to the owners and the many interesting plot twists. I gave it five stars for the way it was well-written.

After reading book ! in this series, I knew I wanted to find out what happens to the other characters. I enjoyed this book a great deal. The characters are interesting, make me smile and have real life problems.

This book keeps you reading. Love reading Christian romance novels. Excited to download the next one to see what that storie unfolds! Highly recommended.

Many things happen that we don't understand. And I like the way this book reveals that in difficult time we can draw closer to God. And in God's Time He will reveal what is going on when we are ready to know. Great book

Good storyline, and kept me reading through to the end to find out what happens. As soon as I finished I bought and downloaded the third book in the series.

A great read. I am hoping there will be another book to follow. I would like to know what happens to the different characters in the book

I started reading Suzanne Woods Fisher books several years ago. So far I have enjoyed every one of them. Her stories keep your interest in what is happening and her characters are true to life. Looking forward to book three.

I really like this series so far... just when I thought I could predict the outcome of a situation, the author does a great job of throwing a curve ball. Well done! If you need a little faith in your life, these Amish fiction books are great.

This is a good follow up to the 1st book in the series. It's easy to read and follow.
