American Sycamore Tree Plananus occidentalis Heavy Established Roots

I miss the sycamores of my youth so decided to start planting some for my grandkids and great grandkids to enjoy. If this first one makes it through this 100°+ Texas summer I’ll plant a few more next spring. I’ll probably be gone by the time they are large shade trees, dropping the balls we used to throw at each other… they say an old man plants trees for future generations and that’s exactly what I’m doing. Young people, plant! Even if you move you’ll know your small efforts are blessing someone!
