A great expansion to a great game
This is one of my favorite Eldritch Horror expansions. The new investigators, encounter cards, and item cards are awesome. The new ancient one might just be my favorite one to play against. I really like the way that it slowly buffs the cultist enemies as the game goes on. The new ancient ruins deck is only used if you're playing against the new ancient one or if you're using the new adventure cards. The cards aren't super impactful on the game (they're basically just another version of expedition encounters) and there's not all that many of them but it is always nice to have another deck of encounters. And since you only use them when setting up certain games, you don't have get them out of the box every time, which is nice since Eldritch Horror already has a ton of decks of cards. If you like Eldritch Horror, you'll like this expansion. Highly recommended.

Must Have Expansion
This is another must-have expansion for Eldritch Horror. The new characters alone are worth the price of admission, with a couple of them now being regulars in our games. The new mythos is tough, and so far we've been close but unable to defeat. The added encounters are all a nice surprise and add to the variety - as do the new items, spells, unique items, etc. Also, a nice touch is the addition of all the palces of power, such as stonehenge, which really adds a new twist to the concept of expeditions. If you haven't gotten Mountains of Madness, then you want to get this set to pick up the new Focus action and tokens which adds another options for your characters.

Fun expansion adds new things
Overall, a great addition to the game. I really like the tokens. On turns where you don’t have any goods options, take a token, use it to reroll a die on a test.

Great quality and tons of new materials for the base ...
This by far adds the most to Eldritch Horror. The amount of content that you get in this box is insane. If you were to only pick up a few expansions, this needs to be one of them. Great quality and tons of new materials for the base game.

A good option to enhance your EH experience
I give the smaller EH expansions 5 stars in general. This one delivers some AH familiar conditions (like Lost in Time and Space). Also identifies several of those mysterious real-world expedition locations like Stonehenge, the Moi and a few others. Just like the Forbidden Lore, you can throw the components into your base set indefinitely and it enhances it seamlessly. I perhaps like this feature of the smaller FFG EH expansions the most.

the second small-box expansion adds a new Ancient One and makes all the other decks taller
This is the second 'small box' expansion for Eldritch Horror - I would compare this to the 'Forsaken Lore' expansion, which is the first 'small box' expansion. Strange Remnants adds one new Ancient One along with the supporting card decks. It also adds more cards to all the location decks, making all of those decks taller and increasing the variety of cards pulled during any given game. Many would argue that getting 'big box' expansions like 'Mountains of Madness' (which I also own) is a better investment but it depends on your approach. I do enjoy getting new side boards and so on but I actually prefer beefing up the base game mechanics with new cards to add variety. For me personally I prefer 'small box' expansions as they add more to the base game without adding any clutter like new side boards. Also, 'small box' expansions have a lower buy-in cost than 'big box' expansions. To sum up, if you're an EH fan you probably already have this and if you're on the fence I'd say get it just to beef up the base game card variety.

Four Stars
Good. Adds more cards. The bad thing is that has only one ancient one.

Excellent expansion for Eldritch Horror by FFG. The package is small but the additions are very strong. Just hope FFG will decide to stop the expansions at some point....

I quickly go addicted to this game, games are long and VERY HARD, expect one win out of ten games. But iits co-op and its soooo fun!! Its as good with two people as with 6 (a whooping 8 players is the max) bigger numbers will make the game longer. Be careful as to not lose the pieces!! The Mystic ruins encounters of this specific set are very usefull, usually it gives you a free "close the portal" option. You have to chase them all over the board tough.

This game shines with more expansions and the small boxes augment the game the most. 10/10 must have !

The new mystic ruin expeditions stood out most. :) We love the base game, so any expansion is anticipated.
