Nautica Boys' Long Sleeve Dress Shirt with Tie

This was a great quality shirt with a clip on tie. The shirt and tie are gorgeous and were bought to wear with a pair of khaki pants for my son's 5th grade graduation. Unfortunately, the shirt was just way too big on him. We purchased the size 14 which is, admittedly, at the upper end of my son's clothing range. He wears a 12-14 but has lately been leaning closer to the 14 end of things. He has a very long waist and I wanted him to be able to raise his arms over his head without showing the world his tummy. He also wanted to be able to roll the sleeves up to his elbows because he likes that kind of thing, plus we live in Texas so it's hot. The shirt was way too large on him, however. I would say it was more like what I would think a 16 would be like on him, or maybe even an 18. The sleeves were so large that we rolled them up to his elbows and they were loose and dangly. The hem of the shirt hung down almost to his knees. His 16-year-old sister tried the shirt on and it fit her well in the middle with a little room to spare - she wears a size 2 in Juniors. Only the sleeves were too short for her. It's a great shirt, so we will save it for him until it does fit. Just slightly disappointing that it was soooo much bigger than anticipated.

Nice quality shirt. Love the print. The tie is a little small and just ok. I didn’t buy it for the tie anyway so doesn’t really matter to me.

Bought this shirt and tie set for a Christmas program my son is in. Specifically bought it for the green and blue tie pictured... Had I read the reviews I would have seen that #1 it comes with a clip on tie, #2 it probably wouldn't come with the tie pictured, and #3 that the tie and shirt are kind of small. Thankfully my son is 9 so he's between sizes and the shirt fits fine but had hoped the shirt would last him a while since I purchased a size 10. The tie is a red and blue pattern instead of the green and blue bias stripes.Was very pleased with the extremely quick shipping, as I ordered using my Amazon Prime 2 day shipping.

We needed a dress shirt for my son to wear for a school event and the seasonal festivities that require a tie (annual Nutcracker ballet, choir performance, etc.). This shirt looks nice and tailored, fit well and came with a festive red tie. The description of the product indicates that the tie color can vary from the one displayed, so I was not disappointed to receive a different color. The only reason I did not give this five stars is that the material is a little thin. He has to wear a white undershirt to make it look nice and he gets a little too hot. We live in CA so this may not be a problem in other parts of the country. It also might not be the best shirt for a child who had to wear it as part of a uniform.

I got this shirt and tie combo on sale for my son who loves bow ties. The shirt is fine, and will go great with other bow ties in his collection, but the bow tie itself is extremely poor in quality. It is not adjustable and is really flimsy and small. We won't be using the tie. The bow part might be a good size for an infant or toddler to wear (although the neck size would be way too big for that), but not for a teen. I was very disappointed in the tie. I wasn't expecting a super high quality tie, but this one was ridiculous. The shirt seems to be good quality, and since I only paid $5 for it I am satisfied, but if you are looking for a nice shirt and tie set, I would look elsewhere, or get a separate tie.
