Avery Marks A Lot Jumbo Chisel Tip Marker, Desk-Style Size, Water and Wear Resistant, 12 Black Markers (24148)

Guessing that this (24148) is the OEM Bulk Pack equivalent of the ones I used to be able to get (24138).Whatever it's part number is, this "chisel" marker has a HUGE tip, making it excellent for labeling/marking things in a hurry. Small tip markers aren't worth the effort, and these do the job every time. Can't seem to get these markers "locally", so was happy to see that I could get these from Amazon. But recently I tried to purchase more of the (24138) and found that said markers were only available From Third Party Sellers :( which meant no Nifty Two Day Shipping, etc. Thought a moment (sometimes my brain works) and figured they must still exist under a different part number. Checked Avery's site and came back with (24148) which *IS* "sold by Amazon" - but only in packs of twelve. I'd use (or lose) at least twelve of these in under a year, so ordered a box. Arrived *VERY* quickly - thank you! I tried eyeballing the (24138) and (24148) and they look the same. No identifying marks on either pen to compare, so have to assume that this (24148) is just the OEM bulk pack equivalent of the single retail-pack (24138). So long as I can get the pens in a hurry when I need them, call them whatever you like. :)Amazon Locker Mystery Shipping Issue (For the Amazon Locker Group):I almost gave up on trying to get these as for some amazing reason, I couldn't get these to ship to an "Amazon Locker". Seemed that all the lockers in town were "full" (with one exception) whenever I tried to order this item. Through trial-and-error I learned that I could order other items to local "lockers" but not these markers. "locker is full". Called to ask why this was, did not get an answer. Ended up having it ship to a conventional address as the one "working locker" in town would have taken an extra week+ to arrive. Waited on the box to see if it was LARGE, but seems pretty normal at 9.5 x 7 x 5.5 (ish). Hard to believe that there was no room for that standard small shipping box in eight-ten different lockers. (?)

These Chunkylicious Markers are the Real Boss in the Working World & So Very Uncommon. Good Product.

This marker has distinct advantages over the Sharpie brand. First it doesn't dry out as easily. (But don't leave the cap off of either of them when not actually using them; they both will dry out if you do.) Second, it happily marks over every kind of tape and label I have encountered when reusing shipping boxes. That's really important; when shipping things via UPS and FedEx, it is crucial to make sure that ALL barcodes on old labels are completely obliterated. Even if they're stock number labels for the merchandise that was originally in the carton, they might cause the automated scan-and-sort equipment to misdirect or delay the handling of a package. This marker can cover just about any barcode or address label with just one or two swipes.
