Awesome beginners keyboard
I recently decided to learn to play and this is perfect. It's small enough to fit on my desk while still having plenty of keys. It has speakers and more keys than the more common smaller midi keyboards making it an excellent option for both MIDI and regular keyboard use. It can be plugged in or take batteries making it nice and portable. Additionally I got a three month free trial of Skoove (a browser based piano learning thing like Simply Piano) which required no installation of drivers, it was just plug and play. This makes the learning a bit more interesting as it can detect when the right / wrong keys are pressed, and does a good job of teaching you how to read sheet music if you are interested in that, though I think I enjoy following along to youtube videos more.

unexpectedly fantastic
I played as a kid and chose this keyboard to take up the hobby again. Compared many brands and models and settled on the base 100 version. I'm so glad I did as it's more than enough for my needs. Plenty of tones and rhythms plus metronome and different chord settings. You can also add sustain (meaning the notes sound like an organ). It takes a while to work out how to do all the settings and the manual is only online not in the box. However I recommend for all beginners.

Great for Beginners
Excellent for beginners although I would suggest downloading the full instruction manual as the quick instruction leaflet that comes with the item is very short on information and does not show how to get different rhthyms and tones. I would also suggest buying the stick on notes for the keys as they are of great benefit in learning for the beginner. Excellent tones and beats that you can change to suit the tune you want to play. Great sounds produced for organ and piano both manual and electric. A reasonable selection in the 60 built in tunes with a heavy emphasis on classical that would benefit from a good selection of pop tunes eg 60's to the present day. A very good purchase and exceptional value for money.

Great value for money!
This is a great piece of equipment and it definitely is worthy of its price. The sound quality on acoustic piano is excellent for an electric keyboard. It is very easy to navigate, with a range of sounds to experiment with.Highly recommend for beginners, as it is very cheap, very comfortable (real size keys that feel nice to play) and it comes with a nice, stable music stand for convenience.
