Works Great & Easy to Use and Install
Installed on a 2021 F150 XLT. Works as it should with great, easy to use adjustability. Been using Tekonsha products for years and they've never let me down. During transit, the wiring on my trailer wore a hole and split a couple wires. The unit alerted me to the issue. I repaired the wiring and away we went. Much better peace of mind than an analog unit. The only issue I had was where to mount it. You need to consider this before purchase. The screen is only viewable from above the unit. If mounted at an angle on the lower dash, understand you may not be able to see the screen.

Simple, quick install and works great!
Install was simple and instructions are clear and install took about 45 minutes with the wiring harness that is made for my truck. Tested on my cargo trailer and it works great. I highly recommend this controller

About to buy a fourth one
These brake controllers hit the sweet spot of price and performance. All the more expensive controllers give you are generally pointless options (multiple trailers, 360 mounting, fancy screen, etc). Even people like me with multiple trailers and vehicles will probably NEVER use any of these extra features. In the end, they just waste your money and make the brake controller more complicated to use. This controller functions exactly as one should. With no trailer, you don't even notice it's there. The display isn't intrusive, and completely shuts off aside from a small, dim light to let you know it still works. With a trailer, it just works. The controls are simple, the boost functions are easy to use and understand, and the adjustability is straightforward. Installation is as easy as any other brake controller, and at 70 degrees you'd be hard pressed to find a spot it won't work in. Braking action is smooth and consistent, and the manual override works as it should. The display tells you whether it's connected, and how much power it's feeding to the brakes, and that's about it. Fantastically simple and effective. Long story short, I already installed 3 of them in 3 separate vehicles, and we just purchased an '03 Explorer that will be the fourth. We use this mainly for a 3 horse slant.

Lots of plusses and a minus
I replaced a 20-year old Tekonsha with this new Primus this summer. I wasn't sure the old one was producing sufficient voltage for my new travel trailer's brakes. Installation was very easy. I bought a wiring harness for a few dollars that plugged in to my truck's board at one end and the new controller at the other. Screwed in new clip, clicked new controller into clip. Done. We have travelled about 3,000 miles with new controller this summer. Primus is easy to adjust, especially compared to the old one where I had to set the level position every time I hooked up my trailer. Power for brakes comes on smoothly and is easy to adjust and test, and voltage to the brakes is displayed real-time. My only complaint is the boost mode, which Tekonsha recommends I use because of the trailer's weight relative to the weight of my truck. It works great at anything above, say, 30 MPH, but at low speed it is incredibly annoying. Boost mode engages trailer brakes as soon as you touch the brake pedal and makes smooth braking impossible at low speed. Invariably after a minute or two in traffic or in a parking lot, I get frustrated and awkwardly reach down and mash the button 3 times to turn the boost off. Then I have to try to remember to turn it on again later. That feature needs to turn itself off at low speed! Otherwise I have no complaints!

Great unit
Works perfectly with my 2020 Honda Pilot EX-L. Plug and play operation with harness Tekonsha 307000. The unit needs to be mounted vertically because it has a hill sensor that automatically adjusts the breaking power. I also like the unit because at a stop for more than 5 seconds it reduces the power to the brakes to extend the life of the trailer brakes.

Great brake controller, easy install.
Installed this brake controller on a 2000 F350 Powerstroke. It took about 5 minutes, very easy to do. Hooked it up to my dump trailer and tuned it. It works very well. I used this aftermarket wiring harness>>https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HTSV4LF?ref=fed_asin_title Definitely recommend.

Smooth operation, very nice
I installed this as a replacement in my 98 Chevy. I typically haul an oversize 2-horse trailer that is part fiberglass, so not all that heavy, but also 2 somewhat oversize horses that total about 3000 lbs. This brake controller works beautifully (with adequate ground), and stops the load smoothly. No herky-jerky. The first trip I took with it I saw a flashing yellow light at one intersection and missed another yellow light just beyond it until the second one turned red and I didn't have much time or room. I braked pretty hard, and the trailer stayed behind me, no shimmy, no nonsense, just a smooth fast stop. I got it stopped with my nose just over the white line, and the horses never needed to shuffle to catch their balance or anything. I had more brake available if I had needed it. Sure, the brakes on the trailer work well. But this controller is NICE, and applied them proportionally and smoothly. I've driven with a lot of different controllers, and I really like this one.

Zero issues with the controller, was probably the easiest installation I've done given my Ford had all the wiring tucked behind the driver side left kick panel, literally. NOTE: this only applies if you have the trailer tow package pre-installed from the factory, if you don't the wires may not be provisioned and additional wiring may be required. Always check with the mfg of the tow vehicle and the RV dealer. I simply had to pop off the panel and the wire was there, the only thing I did was pull it up into the wiring area just below the dash, mounted the controller with the hardware there above my left knee (some say don't do it in the event of an accident, I'm going against that due to accidents will provide you with other issues), and it's far enough away and to the left I can fully see it and I don't want to be looking at it after it's set up for my trailer. Set up of the controller ..took all of 7-minutes (3min to read the instructions), after the trailer is hooked up, adjust the amount of signal being sent to the trailer brakes, do a pull test and adjust/set. These are now pretty straight forward but if you don't want to install it when you buy your trailer/RV, the dealer can do it for about $50-$100 ish. Tekonsha has been in the business of brake controller and other electronics for years, sure there are others but when it comes to stopping, I trust this brand.

Pretty cool product, I’ve used for approximately 5 tows so far and it works nicely. I like being able to pinch the side button and activate the trailer brakes only. The different boost levels are obviously calibrated properly, after testing. Very pleased so far - exactly what I needed.

I plugged this into my 2012 Range Rover HSE sport and it works as intended towing my trailer, direct plug and play with the factory harness under the steering wheel with the appropriate harness purchased separate. I'm sure towing pro's will say it's a bit jerky but for an amateur like me this does just fine, it made the trailer work it's own brakes and felt smooth once I got it dialed in.

Worked as expected... no surprises... and that’s a good thing! Also, install was easy. I used the OEM harness that came with my Ram & connectors to the harness in the box. I had no need for the after market harness. One disappointment, amazon 2 day shipping was more like 5 days, but they refunded the difference.
