Just what you would expect from Stabila!

Acurate, well made.

Same vials at Type 96 (good) but the top/bottom are not machined. Paint (or powder coat) has accumulations on the edges so the top/bottom aren't truly flat. This includes around the window for the top vial so a straight edge rocks back and forth on the top surface. End caps are also somewhat loose. The Sola LSX series (I have the 10" that compares to this 12") doesn't have these paint/finish issues and the 60% vials are much easier to read.

This is the kind of level everyone should have - well constructed, easily read, and light weight! This is a dream come true for everyone who needs a good level! Why waste your money buying a cheap one, when for just a little more you can have one made like this! The 12-inch size is just right for leveling items inside a house. So glad I found out about it!

I've tried various level brands from Empire to Johnson, while they do the job fine these Stabila levels are made to a higher standard of quality and accuracy. I appreciate the pads that extend out to prevent sliding and marking painted walls. These are fantastic for leveling pictures and other things being hung, as well as installing cabinets. I've already purchased 4 Stabila's after buying 1 and seeing its quality. I will continue to build out my level collection with only the best.

Best feature: the side of the level is printed 'Made in Germany'
