Good starter pack
This pack definitely isn’t the most expensive, but I enjoyed using it on a recent 2 night backpacking trip. Was able to carry around 30lb very comfortably. The pack is not too heavy and has pockets for organization. It was rainy so I used the included rain cover and also had a pack liner inside. Everything stayed very dry.The whistle was a nice touch for communicating with my fellow travelers. The buckles feel cheap but held up just fine.I like the side pockets for snacks, chap stick, hand sanitizer etc.It was a little difficult to pull my smart water bottle in and out of the side pockets but I managed. They are large and I was also able to carry tent rods, sit pad etc.The back mesh pocket was good for quick grab wet gear such as rain jacket, water filter etc.I am 5’5” female and this for nicely. The chest strap could be higher.I like that it didn’t sit directly on my back. This is a great budget start to backpacking but you will need compact gear to fit this pack at 50L. I had a larger tent and sleeping bag and ended up downsizing both. In the end I was able to carry a camp chair on the outside.

Great and affordable!
I use this for a 14 day trip in Japan and it was wonderful! Super ergonomic, the backpack away from my back so it was very, and it snuggly cool from my waist. It’s really great because there’s Bottom compartment that can also access the larger compartment of the bag.Theres an upper compartment That fits things that need to be more easily accessed. In an outer pouch that you can slip things in.At the very bottom of the pouch, there is a color that’s bright yellow - Super convenient! And another thing about this is That beside holders are really deep - Helps to hold really large bottles or tripods without fear of them falling out.At the end of the day, this is super cheap for a backpacking backpack, and I would highly recommend this! I hope to use this natural backpacking trip one of these days.

Good starter pack
I bought this pack back in June 2020 and have taken it on somewhere around a dozen short (1-4 day) backpacking trips since then. Overall, it's a decent pack that distributes weight well and is relatively comfortable. It's got a lot of great features and is pretty sturdy. One thing to note is that this pack starts getting pretty uncomfortable with loads any heavier than 35-40 lbs. But, If you can manage to keep your total pack weight under under 35 lbs or so, this pack feels super comfy. For reference, I'm 6'0'', 180 lbs. After 2 1/2 years of abuse on trips with this pack, the hip belt is starting to tear off and there are multiple tears and rips in various places along the pack. Because of this, i'm finally looking to replace it. However, this was my first real backpacking pack and I was pretty rough on it so it isn't unexpected. Overall, I would say this is a great pack for the pricepoint that it's at.

Comfortable, padded and adjustable straps
I have had this backpack for a while in preparation for a 200 mile hike in northern Spain. It's been 10 years since I stopped running and I let myself get out of shape for this kind of distance. So I put the pack aside and began walking to get back in shape. So now I'm up to 7 1/2 miles with 13 lbs. in the backpack. The shoulder straps are very comfortable. There is a small connector strap between them to keep them from sliding off your shoulders. This connector strap is adjustable up and down and one side of the buckle is an emergency whistle. The shoulder straps should allow you to attach an umbrella for hands free walking. One one strap is an elastic band sewn across the strap and the other side has a reflective cloth band (no elastic). The shoulder straps have adjustments at the top and bottom. The padded waist cinch is very good, taking weight off your shoulders. It has very generous adjustment straps. Each waist strap has a small ventilated zipper pocket and is right at your hips. It's hard for me to reach them but I'm older and not as flexible as I used to be.Over the right shoulder there is an area that allows for a drinking tube, with the water container inside the backpack. This is the main area of the pack for all your packables and has a drawstring closure. Above this area is another drawstring so you could put something on top of the first drawstring (main pack area) and close the second drawstring. Above this is a cover/cap with elastic rim and 2 buckles in front, 2 more in back. The cap has 2 storage areas, 1 of which is in a somewhat hidden zipper. The other is netted storage with a zipper. there are 2 additional lightweight attachment loops .Between your pack and the backpack is the supporting metal frame and ventilated back support. There is a lift/carry strap between the shoulder straps at the top. There are additional straps on the side and back of the pack. I haven't figured out what those are for but nice to have; perhaps for your bedroll and tent. Also on the side are ventilated pockets for water bottles, umbrella, etc.On the back is a large ventilated pocket. Near the bottom on the back is another storage area, zippered and with some straps. Inside this area is a zipper which allows access to the bottom of the main pack storage, in case you put something on the bottom of the main area and wanted quick access. It's tough to open the zipper without emptying this area. Finally, on the very bottom, in a zippered pocket, is the bright chartreuse waterproof cover for the pack.I rarely backpack but I am very pleased with the many features of this pack. For the price, I don't think you can beat it. Once I've done this trek I will probably never backpack again. But I have confidence that for this trip I'll be very pleased with this pack.
