Travel safely with kids.
Most convenient item to take when traveling with kids. Allows us to travel easily with Uber or taxis who don’t have car seats.

Makes travel a breeze!
For spring break, we planned an international trip that would require several taxi rides/hired drivers. Bringing our usual forward facing carseat was not feasible. Our daughter is 5years old/41ish inches tall/43lbs. I bought a size small. It was honestly such a breeze to use. We packed it in a backpack and could easily get our daughter in and out of the car. I sat in the backseat with her on all our rides, and she was pretty comfortable the whole 8ish hours we used the vest over the course of a week. I felt very confident that she was safe, and this vest saved us a ton of hassle and stress.I HIGHLY recommend watching several of the RideSafer videos on YouTube to make sure you get the best fit and install. This seat is a bit different from a "normal" carseat (ex the shoulder straps don't need to pass a pinch test, they can be a little loose). Take the time to watch the videos and practice *before* your trip. I did a couple test runs in the house while watching the videos and adjusting straps, then we tested it in the car. At first, I thought it was way too small for her belly, but after some adjustments and watching the videos, it was fine.

Great for family trips
Our family just got back from a Washington DC trip a and this worked out great. We practiced how to put it on our 2-year-old daughter (she wore a x-small) and how to install in a car prior to the trip, which I suggest just to become familiar with the product before you travel. This made traveling in share rides easy and convenient. We also didn’t have to travel with a car seat because of this product.it looked very safe to use and felt very comfortable with her in it.

Great travel item for kids, but received a used one.
Well made item that will be immensely useful with travel with a child. The one I received from Amazon was clearly a used return however. No original packaging, contained in a clear bag with the green stripe Ready To Ship on it. No instructions included, mild wear to the "new" product.Great product but disappointing to not receive a brand new one for the price paid.

Good Car seat Alternative
The size chart was very helpful at choosing the perfect vest. Appreciate that it’s crash tested and CPST approved for use to keep my son safe in the car

Not really for special needs children
This is marketed all over the car seat groups as a safe alternative for children who are too tall/heavy for a harnessed seat. The brand does not sell it that way, but I digress. There is small print in the manual that you can’t use the tether after 60lb. So there’s nothing actually keeping my child in the seat. It just positions the belt, which isn’t enough for level 3 autism when your child has no safety awareness. We had to crowd fund a medical grade car seat instead. Hopefully the right people see this.
