I wasn't too sure if this would actually work to keep the temperature regulated from the rest of my house, but it does! Our attic access is in our upstairs hallway, which is also in the same area as the two-story foyer, and I could always feel the heat difference in that area where the access is. I ordered this in hopes it would help with keeping it less hot since my thermostat is near it, and keep my air from running all the time. I can report that it works! I put this up at the end of the summer last year, and now that we are entering summer this year, I no longer feel the difference in the hallway, even on super hot days.

This item is amazing. First off I was worried it might not fit my ceiling attic door opening but it went in the perfectly, so possibly these are universal sizes and this item is that size. All you do is just set it in the opening. It stays right in there and does not flop down AT ALL. If you are worried about that. Stapling it down to the sides as others have mentioned is best as it will keep it secure in place, but it is not neccessary. It will still work just probably your hinge on the door will push it slightly out of place when you close it, but not too much. The zipper juts unzips right there on the inside to get through. I have already noticed no attic smell in our upstairs now and usually when you are half way up the stairs to the attic you can feel the heat. Now no heat at all. This thing really works and is completely easy to just set in your opening. If you staple it, then a bit extra work..Thats it..Worth every penny. Oh and should keep our attic wasps from getting through the gap we have from the door and ceiling. So great!

IF you have an attic door ladder and don't have one of these, get one. This was a little big for my attic ladder door. (My Fault I didn't measure just ordered) But it was easy to install and I just folded it to make sure it fit. My attic door R- Value went up and you could feel a huge difference from heat. It also puts another barrier from fiberglass insulation particles entering your home from the attic door. YOU WILL NEED A STAPLE GUN TO INSTALL!

Works very well and definitely helps keeps the moisture out from attics. I live in Houston where it’s always hot and once I installed this I noticed the difference. Little snug fit but I made it work

We were having trouble with our attic door not closing right so hot air was constantly coming into our house. We ordered this attic tent after our AC guy suggested it. It was super easy to install and it came with the staple gun to really keep it in place. It took maybe 5 minutes to put in. It made a huge difference as soon as we installed it. No more hot air leaking into our home!

Don't second guess yourself!BUY it!!! I am so glad that I did buy this and install it. It installed perfectly, looks beautiful, and fits nicely. The temperature of my garage has probably lowered by 10°. Really really happy with this product, which I can't say very often with anything I order through Amazon to tell you the truth.

Excellent and even a 61 year old lady can install it. I used wood screws with wide washers as me and staple guns don’t get along. A staple gun is suggested per the instructions. I installed this in less than 30 minutes and am wondering why I didn’t buy one like this years ago. I had to add an extra 24” 2x4 as my opening was just a little too long. High recommended

Basic cover for my attic stairs, yet sturdy/holds its own shape more than I expected. Good price point too.
