This thing is enormous, and very sturdy. If you are thinking of ordering this to use in a home kitchen, it is way too big for any of your pots/applications- look at an 8" model instead. If you have an industrial kitchen with huge pots, then order with confidence.

Excellent for my use, which is to drain 2 gallons worth of chevre all at once. Has held up perfectly in 2 years of use. I place it in my sink, and it fits nicely there. Yes, it's large--that's why I bought it.

I wasn't sure it was stainless when I got it, but it does seem to be. Works well for what I do (strain corn). It is not super heavy duty but for price it is good.

I sent this as a gift to my nephew in another state. He reported that it came in a damaged box, the item was dented and cheap-appearing and to top it all off, absolutely no note that it came from me. He had no idea who it was from until I phoned to see if he had received it.I am angry that he has to go to the trouble to return it in order for me to get a refund. This piece of junk should just be put in the trash. I should get the refund regardless.
