These are LED housings and do not contain LEDs.
These give a professional look to LEDs installed in a panel such as a rack mount panel which is what I used them for. initially I installed RED LEDs in the holder using the included LED guide and they worked extremely well. however expectations on the project changed and I removed the RED LEDs and installed four pin RGB LEDs. The holders work great for this. I could not, however use the guide that came with the LED holders so i installed heat-shrink tubing over the LED pins and pressed them into the holders and secured them with a small amount of hot glue.Overall very good quality. If I need more, I will buy them again.

Professional finishing touch
I originally planned to just stick my 5mm LEDs through holes in a control panel, and then I found these available. They are easy to install (5/16 drilled hole) and offer a more resilient mounting for LEDs.

Barely fits quarter inch plastic
Bought to use on quarter inch plastic panel. Other led mounts were not long enough. Fit - barely. Sufficiently functional. Wish the plastic led mount was available for 3 lead leds. Had to drill out a third hole.

They Work Well
Work well with all sorts of LED's. For one installation had to use a dab of silicon to hold the LED's in place. This is my third order of these.

They are well made and they work great.

DO NOT USE for tricolor LEDs
These are good holders. They look good, they seem sturdy. BUT: the plastic gizmo used to hold the LED in place has only TWO holes, not four. So they can't be used for tricolor LEDs, which have four pins. Maybe this is mentioned somewhere in the description, but I couldn't find it. I'm having to put shrink tubing on all the LED pins because I can't use their plastic piece.
