This gel works better than any other curl gel I have ever tried. I really like the shine I get with this product. I have often been disappointed with other curl gels when I try to pick out my curls after the gel has dried a bit and the shine is lost in the process. The shine is more enduring with this gel than with any other product I have tried. It does dry a bit stiff but not so stiff that it is crunchy. I have type 3C curls. I am very pleased with this product.

I have been using "Ice Curls" for about 2 months and I just purchased this new jar a few days ago. Great value for the size of the jar! It's a GREAT gel! It really defines your curls, makes them soft and bouncy, and adds volume. I have not noticed any flaking or residue. It has a sweet citrusy scent. Its not overpowering and it goes away with your scent or other hair products. I was using this gel with a different brand of conditioner but it just wasn't performing that well. My curls were nice but they could definitely be better. I purchased the "Fix my hair intensive repair conditioning masque" and my curls are AMAZING with this combo of conditioner and gel. Im a loyal customer to this brand!My routine: I ring out my hair but still make sure my hair is wet and makes that wet sound when I scrunch it, I apply a leave in conditioner spray from dollar tree ( power stick brazilian mist), I apply the gel on my wet hair. First I brush my fingers through my hair and then I do the praying motion. I section my hair and brush each section with the dupe for the bouncurl brush (got it here on amazon). I scrunch my hair and make sure it makes that wet scrunch sound. I let my curls air dry and then put it up in a clip when its completely dry. The next day I release the cast and apply hair spray to my hair in the praying hands motion (I pour hairspray directly to my hands, I dont spray it on my hair). My hair is undied and natural. I use the Dial gold bar to shampoo my hair every 3 or 4 days.

I have curly hair and as long as I put this on when my hair is extremely wet then pick it through the gel works great. No frizz all day.

I did not find this to be any stronger of a hold than all of the Eco Stylers I have.Very slight if any cast at all. If you are looking for a stronger cast/hold this is not it either.
