Disappointed all around
Very disappointed here all around. From a product perspective, knife had obvious nicks and scratches upon arrival, knife gets stuck in open position (liner lock too tight) and a very cheap box. Sorry, but I expected more from Gerber, America, and the company that fulfilled the order. I was also disappointed there too, I emailed immediately after ordering (within hours) to cancel order as I mistakenly read the description. I received a "order already being processed, sorry" email days later (which these days I take as a ploy to get you to receive and keep the knife). The process for refusing and returning the knife was difficult, and here I am with a knife no where near worth my purchase price. My bad I guess.

Even better than I expected
So I first saw this knife in outdoor magazine gear review special and that's where it caught my attention. Usually I stick more to Benchmade or spyderco knives but this one caught my attention.I used to think of gerber knives as the cheap wal mart knives with bear grills face all over the packaging hoping for some kid who watches discovery Chanel to buy it. That is not the case with this knife.Normal list price is 170$ and it would be worth it even at that. The blade is sharp and s30 steel which is very manageable to sharpen and holds an edge well. The mircata grips really do feel amazing in my and and the blade is the perfect size for an edc knife. This knife has completely changed my opinion of gerber and would recommend this to anyone. And better yet it's made here in the USA.

Perfect
I never saw this knife in real life, so it was a risk in buying. I worried that it'd handle would be to thin, or the blade not substantial enough. Measurements can only afford a slight mental image. This knife is perfect ... the handle is small enough to maintain being called a pocket knife yet rounded and substantial to feel like a larger bulky folding knife. I have larger hands and i am able to grip this knife without fingers falling off the end. The blade is nice and wide, affording not only a solid blade but a great look. My favorite aspect is the straight line from the handle to blade transition, you can tell it was made well with no wiggle. If youre looking for a solid pocket knife this is it.

OK--Bad Fit and Finish for the Price
I am a knife collector and could not pass up a real USA-made Gerber. This is an OK knife, but at its price should have a much better fit and finish.

Missing the little things
The blade of the knife was pushed into the side by the liner lock. Never seen that before. Not very high quality. Looks great and made in my home town but let down.

I am disappointed! The blade is a loose fit
Gerber, I am disappointed! The blade is a loose fit, the edge is ground 1/4" longer on one side, and the overall feel is flimsy. This is the quality I expect from an under-$30 knife. This not an over-$100 knife!!! Your $50 Applegate folder is a much higher quality knife than this one. I'm not buying Gerber anymore. Lack of QC.
