It comes with new Fittings that you might have to change to adapt this pump to your plumbing, for your pool. I Changed from a Pentair Pump to this Doheny pump and needed to use the new fittings. This unit has a better quality inlet filter basket and clear top cover. It has been installed and running for over 30 days 24/7 and is working perfectly.

It’s works great and it a perfect replacement for my old pentair pump

Bought the version with the on/off rocker switch at the back to replace my old Pentair unit that was supplied with my 27 ft round above ground pool and Sand Dollar sand filter. The replacement unit has a much sturdier debris basket, is super quiet, and moves more water than the old unit (which I have since rebuilt and have as a spare). Pros: Moves more water, quiet, rocker switch makes it easy to switch from filter, backwash, rinse, and back to filter without having to unplug or go to the pool house; pump fit perfectly into the Pentair Sand Dollar filter base bracket, both tie down screws fit as designed in the old base. Cons: Had to get threaded inlet hose crossover for 1.5 in gray corrugated hose; had to cut my old coarse threaded union off to change the pump outlet connection to the included white fine threaded union matching the new Doheny unit. Ordered the Monday before 4th of July, it was here on Friday!

This is a well made very quiet pump. Plenty of water flow for our 15' round x 52" pool.

This Doheny's pool pump was a seamless swap out replacement for a Hayward Power-Flo Matrix (1.5 hp; 15 amp) that failed prematurely after only a few summer swim seasons - and for less than HALF the price of a new Hayward pump! In my permanent pool set up, everything matched up precisely and I didn't have to modify any plumbing and even the motor mount bracket matched the holes in the original Hayward sand filer platform. This particular pump model came with a built-in on/off switch at the back of the motor just like I was used to, which makes backwashing easier, and a 6 foot power cord. I also like that the listed motor specs shows slightly less power draw at 12 amps, which is easier on my 15 amp stake timer. To be fair, the strainer basket isn't quite as big as the old Hayward and the pressure gauge reading is slightly lower than before, but I actually like the strainer housing lid better because it has little nubs for better grip, and the pool water circulates with good force and skims just as well as it ever has, plus this pump seems a little quieter too. Shipping was was fast and delivered by FedEx. I can't speak to longevity yet, but for half the coin I'm happy with the pump and willing to see how it plays out. Switch did not work (which I paid extra for) and the unit will not plug and run in my GFCI outlet (probably faulty wiring). I have tried to contact Doheny's and they have referred me to another specialized Amazon #, which is frustrating. I will probably end up having to send this one back and get another pump, which is frustrating as I hard plumbed it into my pool. I expected better from the Doheny brand.

Love the off and on switch. You should also install timer. This would make you the only company with both on the same pump. This would really benefit pool owners.
