Has a garlic smell but works incredibly well. I have RA now and get cold sores far more frequently than I used to. This has been the only product to consistently keep them at bay. Christopher's formulas are becoming my go to. So happy to finally get some relief! Update 12/2025- I have now ordered what is my 5th tube of this product, the formula has changed a bit, it seems it is mostly waxy now with a light spearmint smell. I think they changed the formula. Makes my lips feel sticky from the wax now. Reminds me of what some of my “old” lip balms feel like after too much time has passed. Got 2 new tubes that feel like this. I’ll probably toss these and have another go.

I have used this product for a number of years. I find it effective for stopping cold sores or fever blisters at least shortening them the amount of time that they exist.

nice lip balm. smell is not too pleasant. garlicky or something. It does help with cold sores a little. but if you have a big one coming up it is better to use a few things on it. this on its own won't get rid of it. I use lysine+ cold sore treatment in a tube and grapefruit seed extract (two drops straight up on a cold sore) along with this. this balm keeps lips very well moisturized for a long time. doesn't give too much shine. it is colorless so can be worn by men and women. I think it works well as a prevention of cold sores
