Professional Straight Razors with Solid Brown Maple Wood Handle Macs Brand-047

I purchased this razor for my father for Christmas. I spent the whole day searching Amazon for an affordable razor that was more than just a cellulite or plastic handle. There were only a few wooden options, it turned out, but this one looked to be the best. I was a little concerned by the ridged edge on the top, but it's actually smoother than it looks in the pictures and appears to just be a decorative feature.Ultimately, my father loved this razor and I was very impressed by the beauty of the handle and the pins used to hold it all together. Very sturdy, well-made product. Handle does not bow in your grip like plastic ones sometimes do. The blade arrived incredibly sharp. I'm not sure if my father will sharpen it further, but it seemed, both to him and me, that the blade was ready to use and then some. I would likely buy this razor again if ever necessary.

The razor came shipped in a bubble letter. The leather pouch is faux. The handle is laminated wood and not very good quality at that. The blade is not shave ready at all, and will need to be sharpened on a wet stone and strop before use. For the money, it's a decent razor, but it needs work to get it usable.

Very well made razor. Was ready to shave upon arrival. I find the blade to be very pleasing to the eyes as well as easy to handle. I would recommend this razor to anyone just learning to use a straight razor. Good product! Thank you!!

Can't use this for shaving. But if you want a REAL conversation piece for your bar this thing rocks. Imagine a hand blown bubbly glass bottle of Patron on your bar and there is your limes being cut with this sick straight edge. People love it.

The only​ downside about this product is the label on the blade is pretty large. The wood handle is beautiful, my man was blown away the quality.

This razor gives a great shave, and looks good while doing it.

The razor over all is good and comes sharp enough to shave with. The only blemishes that I can see with mine is a deep scratch on the tail and the pivot pin was tapped slightly crooked, however i'm just nitpicking. The scales are extremely straight and thick making it possible to know that you have a razor in your hand. The stainless feels like 420 - 440. It could go through a good honing upon arrival, however is excellent for the price tag. I might just have to order a second one.
