Thrustmaster VG Thrustmaster Ferrari Wireless GT Cockpit-F430 Scuderia Racing Wheel

Purchased this as a birthday present to myself. The metal pedals and paddle shifters are a nice touch. Also has a heavy base and is very sturdy. The screws work well to adjust and lock in any position. It took 5 minutes to put together and after a quick run down of the instructions to set it up I was "driving." Works great with Gran Turismo 5. Overall very satisfied.

This is a wheel that works well all except for their wheel return to center system which are bungee cords that break or fray if you are a serious racer. They will ship you a new head after complaining, but it will break within a couple of weeks. Bad design period.

I bought this to replace my Driving Force GT.Pros:One unit, it makes getting the pedals to stay on the ground much easier.Looks quality made.The flappy paddles have a pleasing click to them.Setup extremely easy.Very easy to switch between pc.Works with PS3 games that dont support some other wheels, since it emulates the controller.Cons:only 270 degrees or so of rotation.Only has pedal shifters, if you want clutch + gear stick get a G27 for a little bit more $.force feedback is lackingmagnet resistance is ok, though once again lack of feedback here.If you want a wheen you cna break out, chill, use for a bit then put away, no fuss no wires no setup this is a great option. Though keep its limitations in mind.Good for casual racing game players, enthusiasts would probably be getting with a G27 in the same pricerange.

Buying this item is worth it for hard core car race gamers. Unlike the other same platform where you have to find a sturdy desk then mount it, this Thrustmaster Ferrari Wireless F430 Cockpit is an all-in-one and can both be used on PS3 & PCs. Within a month of enjoying this expensive toy, the brake pedal started to feel weird that game play is affected. Since it was still within warranty, I mailed this back to it's HQ in Canada (they don't have one here in the U.S.). They fixed it and mailed my toy back to me and I continued enjoying this toy for a couple of months more. Just recently, that same problem popped up again and since it's out of warranty - i might have to fix this myself. Fun is 5 stars, quality 3 stars.

I just got Ferrari wireless GT F430 from amazon and when I connect to my PS3 to paly with GT5 did not work at all.For me this was a waist of money...If you know the solution, please email me at [email protected]. I will be very happy.RegardsPiero

This is an excellent controller. It comes with an easy and quick setup, free of the complexity of wire connections. The accompanying instructions are clear and lucid. Most of all though, it works! And works well! I continue to derive pleasure in my own personal use of it, but more so when I challenge the younger ones among us to try it. I think it also has value as a virtual driving instructor device. I think its superb and absolutely good value for money!!

A great racing wheel except for a couple of design flaws. The contact points for the paddle shifters are a thin metal strip that tends to bend with use and eventually snap in two. This makes the shifter unusable but everything else works great. Fortunately my racing game allows me to play in automatic shifting mode. The second breakable part is the bungee type spring that provides resistance to the turning of the steering wheel. It wears out and breaks in two. The steering still works but without the feeling of centering control. This is my fourth wheel I have purchased because of this problem. I haven't found any other stand alone unit in this price range that compares. I mentioned these problems to Tech over a year ago but I don't think they took it seriously. Also it would be helpful if the seller would mention that the wheel is a rebuild as Thrustmaster will not cover it under warranty if it is. I learned that the hard way as well.

The design and building material are excellent quality and very precise in some games , others need some adjustments. My main concern has been the USB dongle which came broken. Sometimes works and sometimes don't . Also I suggested that this wheel should came with a USB cable connection in case the wireless don't work. Now ,I'm waiting for a USB dongle replacement. In overall terms the wheel is good .
