Just great!
Easy to install. The frame of the door is a bit damaged, but I was aware . Great!

I can now do pull ups in an apartment that doesn't accommodate all the other pull up bar setups
Forgive the lengthy review, but I wanna provide you with details of my experience so you can determine whether my assessment applies to your needs/interests with this product.I have been wanting to be able to do pull ups at home so I started looking into pull up bar setups. Long story short, after much analyzing of my apartment, it turned out most setups out there either physically wouldn't work or would require too much rigging/rearranging or were too expensive (hundreds of $$). While scrolling through pull up bars on Amazon, I saw this one. I liked the fact that it wasn't permanent since the only place I could put it was in my entry door frame which, unfortunately, the door would not be able to close with the pull up bar in it. I liked the fact that it could be adjusted to fit my 35" wide frame. I liked the fact that due to its design, as you put weight on it, it technically should become more stable. Finally, I liked the price and that delivery time was maybe a week out. My only concern was I wasn't sure how well built my wooden door frame was and although the support feet on this pull up bar appeared to have good surface area on them, I didn't know if once I put my weight on it, if the force would just crack or even break the frame. I debated and decided to take the chance in buying it.I found the setup to be fairly easy, but I am a mechanic by trade so that may have given me an advantage. Its functions and features made sense to me, it just took about 5 minutes to figure out how they all worked together. I did read the instructions just to make sure there were no less-than-obvious do's or don'ts. I found the wording of the instructions kinda confusing, but the illustrations were helpful. From opening the box it arrived in, to being set up in my door frame and ready to test, was about 10 minutes tops at a casual pace. I did hear some creaking from my door frame during the final tightening of the bar, but no further sounds during use.Its been a week now. I'm 5'10" and weigh around 120 lbs and do 5 pull ups on it 2-3 times a day every day. I keep it leaned against the wall near the door when not in use and I think it literally takes me less than a minute to grab it, install it and have it ready to use. The door frame makes that creaking sound every time I do that final tightening of the bar, but still, no further sounds during use. It also has yet to move on me at all. I've checked the door frame several times after removing the bar and while the feet definitely leave a print on the wood, I don't see or feel any warping or cracking of the wood. Its safe to say that at this point I am very happy with this pull up bar. Just a few months ago I could do 10 pull ups at a time without breaking a sweat. Having been unable to do many of my outdoor sports and activities over the past couple months, I was heart broken to discover those 5 pull ups mentioned above is the best I can do right now. I hope this product continues to support me (quite literally) as I work my way back up to 10 again!

Pretty Cool!
Took a bit long to arrive but probably mostly due to Covid related delays. Pulled it out of the box and the item was in good condition and feels heavy, and well built. It was relatively easy to install. a few required adjustments and screws to adjust and its ready to use.A few quality concerns in the small aluminum clamp-down hardware at either side of the bar. These dont take weight but just retain the bar at width. They feel flimsy in quality, they are thin aluminum and could be better for the price of this bar. they could also do a better job easing the edges of these two aluminum clamps, they are a little on the sharp side.Overall good quality otherwise. The metal bar itself is heavy and feels sturdy. There is no flex when hanging from the bar. The plastic 'mounting' mechanisms appear to be well made and of good quality plastic. just used it once so far but right away there is no slip if properly installed. The bar does put a lot of force onto the door jam. Since my apartment's door jam was not well installed the wood was pressed outward a bit. If you're like me you may drive a few screws through your door jam to make sure it is truly fastened to the stud in your wall. I will wait to see how it holds up before I put extra screws into my wall but it may be necessary to ensure the bar is secure and there's no further flex in the door jam. This is not a quality problem of the pull-up bar, it is a quality problem of my apartment. hah!

To my surprise this is downright awesome
I bought for use during the covid pandemic since gyms were closed. This was not the style I wanted but literally every other decent quality door frame hook one was out of stock and weighing in at 220 lbs I wasn’t buying a $10 one. LolSo I fully expected to return this within 5 days of getting it due to it breaking or falling off with me on it.To my surprise 2 months later it’s still where I placed it in the doorframe sturdy as ever and I’m up to being able to do 12 pull ups in one go.Only downside is I wish they had attached 2 handles at a 90 degree angle so that I could use a different grip rather than only having my palms facing toward me.I’ve been used to doing pull-ups gripping bars pointing at my face so that the palms of my hands face each other. But I knew that when purchasing this so I digress.Summary. It works great.Take note though. Follow their door measurements for size AND know, this does NOT work on doors with trim on the inside unless you have a really thick door frame and somehow this can fit on one side of the trim. This did not work on any of my internal room doors, this only worked on my Main front and back doors because the inside of the door frame was smooth without trim. Also take note, anything that you want to support your body weight will leave some mark after extended use. I’m sure this one is included.

Falls after a few days. Would not recommend.
I made sure to install it with the notches at a positive slope so that it puts force into the wall, tightened it as much as I could, then finger tightened the quick release nuts to give the quick release a solid hold. The first time I installed the bar it worked as expected for a few days and one day suddenly fell from the wall on its own. It took me a few months to get back around to putting it up again.I put it back up again on Monday of this week. On Wednesday it fell from the wall while I was using it. Really good for getting that heart rate up!I went to go put it on a wider doorway -- third time is the charm, right? --and while trying to extend the bar I somehow managed to snap one of the plastic positioning notches that is used by the quick release bracket. It seems like a pretty easy thing to do.The scuffs on the door were not that bad. Maybe that is only because I could not get it to stay up for more than a few days at a time.I would return this if I could but my Amazon return window has expired. Buyer beware.
