Braeburn1025NC Thermostat, Non-Programmable, Heat Only

Works well! Managing an apartment building, your always dealing with wasteful tenants that crank the heat all the way up and then open a window for fresh air or whatever. While it cant detect open windows, you can set a high temp limit and it works very effectively. I do have to take off one star for the screw connector that mates with the pins on the thermostat were very loose; in fact, I just soldered the thermostat wires from the wall to the unit because I was tired of fiddling. Helpful hint, I used some steal wool and lightly polished the Braebum name off the unit. It removed the silk screening and the plastic is untouched. I did this to help avoid tenants googling how to change the high temp.

In September of 2015, I purchased a two family home in Massachusetts. The home has one heating unit for both apartments, so I knew I would be paying for the heating costs of both. The Braeburn 1025NC gives me the ability to set the maximum temperature that the thermostat will go up. The thermostat is simple to use and makes it very easy to set the temperature. The pin that allows you to turn off the maximum temperature setting is hidden well so you would really need to know what you're doing to mess with the unit. The digital display on the unit is very large so making out what the display says is easy. When my fiancé and I move out of our side of the building, we will be purchasing another Braeburn 1025NC, so when we get a tenant for that unit we can accomplish the same thing. Would definitely recommend.

Just what I needed.

I have installed dozens and dozens of thermostats so I can confidently say that I know what I'm doing.At the time of my purchase there were only 9 reviews so I sort of had to wing it.The thermostat does not stay tightly on the wall mount plate, it's close to falling off when you touch it,I think this is poorly designed.Another annoyance that does not contribute to the poor rating is that when you remove the cover, the slider switches fall out.I needed a device to control heat waste in a tenant unit but I never made it that far this one,

Very easy install if you know what you are doing. Supplies hardware for hanging on drywall and also batteries for systems that do not supply power to the device through the wiring. Detailed Instructions. Very bright backlit display and the numbers for what temp the room is huge.Does exactly what is described.Went from honeywell roto analog thermostat not only is it more eye appealing now I also find that the furnace does not run nearly as much so I know it is saving money. You can set your temp to an accurate degree that works for your house. Happy with my purchase.

good all around thermostat, very basic, but I easily installed in my 1950's wired house. Big display, easy to read without the glasses.

Wanted this one because unit was a little smaller than some others. BUT, Item is so cheaply made that unit isnt clamping into bracket and its falling off the wall. Going to return these thermostats!

Simple, easy to install, works with a 2 wire system, back lit, and the current temperature is large and readable. I have installed and used a plethora of thermostats. From the round mercury switched Honeywell units to the programmable Robertshaw units. This is by far the easiest to install and operate. If you are looking for heater control only, and ease of use, this is the unit to purchase.
