If I hadn't received this product this morning like I did my dog would've either been lost for good or most likely been killed by the high winds(btw winds were 65+mph) tonight. Just earlier tonight the winds were so bad and high that is blew my backyard's side gate open into the alleyway. My dog walked out of the backyard, by the time I thought to go back there to make sure he was okay. When I went out back the gate was wide open and he was nowhere to be found. I started walking out back and couldn't see him anywhere, even with my phone's flashlight and walking very slowly and scanning back and forth every step. So I turned on the app and put on tracking, once I received all of the information it told me where he went, where he stopped, and where he was. Once I got a good look at him I saw that he had gravel, plant and leave crumbs/bits all over. He was also kinds walking like he was dizzy. From the info on the app and how he looked I found put that he had gotten blown upwards of 45-55 feet down the alley. I'm am glad to see he was hurt from that as well.I was so happy that it worked and had arrived today. If it hadn't I would've lost my little Chihuahua forever(or at least for couple days if he survived and someone found him)Anyways this device is amazing. I thank God and Amazon/Whistle for getting this to me in time to save my puppy. He is tiny only 4.8 pounds and tan colored, so at he would have never been found at night. Which would've been awful cause even if he did survive it rained for an hour afterwards. He could've gotten pneumonia or hypothermia.Seriously thank you Whistle Go™ you saved my puppies life.

We’ve had the whistles for little under a year now and we have really appreciated knowing what our dogs are doing 24/7Our dog ran away and was lost for 3 days, we were devastated... Just the thought of her being outside alone was hard but eventually we found her and immediately bought the whistle after some research.If only we had it before we could know exactly where she went/was, but now we have it and love it!The battery life lasts quite awhile if you have a yard that they can play in because as long as it’s on WiFi it doesn’t consume much battery at all. I’ve found that it can go weeks without a charge but once the weather got nicer and we took our dogs on more walks it only lasts about 7 days or so.Overall I really enjoy having the whistle and the peace of mind that I’ll know where they are.

I've seen ads and videos of people loving this device and saying that it is a life saver when it comes to finding lost pets. However, it is important to note that depending on where you live, it will be more or less accurate. I've had Ubers get lost because the buildings and streets where I live are so close together. On top of that, this device will only update every 15 seconds when the pet is loose. When I look at the app to see the route we walked, it's always wrong, but gives a general area. But a general area is my area is not helpful, as said above, since streets and buildings are so close that a proximal ping could mean he's anywhere within a 2 block radius. This device would probably be more accurate if you live in the suburbs, or in an area that is less crowded. In all honestly, I really bought this device more for the health than the GPS. It's nice to know that my dog is getting enough exercise for his breed and drinking enough water. The scratching, licking, and sleep disruptions are great indicators of possible illnesses or allergies your pet may have. I've only had this device for a week, but the battery seems pretty good. With 2 45 minute walks a day his battery is still above 60%. The only downside is the subscription, but they do offer a 90 day money back guarantee. I've tried FitBark where the subscription rates are the same but I prefer Whistle since it gives more insight on health.Overall, this is a great device for those who live in a less crowded, maybe suburban, area and for those who want to monitor the health of their dogs. I can also see this being beneficial for first time dog owners or first time specific breed owners to ensure that they are getting the proper amount of exercise.

The number one concern for me is keeping my dog safe. Unfortunately, in September 2019 Whistle did a tech update that caused a 5-7 minute delay in response from the time a device leaves and returns to a safe zone. A 5-7 minute delay could mean half a mile or more if your dog is "on the run." I chatted with tech support 3 times since I purchased my device in August 2019 and was only responded to with "we have made the product TOO GOOD and the tech fix doesn't have a timeline for this." It has now been 5 months that I have had the product and 4 of those months, it has had this delay. Further, the device will also regularly malfunction as Whistle tests new tech fixes. I have had to leave dinners, meetings, and work at least ten times in the past 4 months due to the device alerting me that my dog left his safe place only to find he had not. At first I thought, maybe there are internet issues. So I bought a doggie cam that works off the internet. Every time the Whistle malfunctioned, I'd hop into the doggie cam, to find that in fact there was not an internet issue and my dog was safe and sound. In the last time I chatted with customer support regarding the issue, I asked for a refund of the annual subscription (only) and was responded to with "we don't give refunds but we can give you a free month of service." Why would I want a free month of service for a product that doesn't work? Overall, don't waste your money until Whistle gives a guarantee that the tech is fixed and there aren’t constant malfunctions and delays.

I have an indoor/outdoor kitty whom I obsess over. Not even ashamed to admit it.This little device has brought me immeasurable peace of mind. You have no idea how much I wish I'd bought a Whistle sooner. Being able to track him like this has completely eliminated a major source of anxiety in my life. Thank you Whistle from the bottom of my crazy cat lady heart.P.S. It's a little large for kitties (see pics) but it's super lightweight. If your cat doesn't mind wearing a regular collar & tags, he/she probably won't mind this.

I researched carefully for a long time to get what seemed to be the best tracker for my cat who is impossible to get back once outside. I had only one chance and it’s gone. The battery is problem no1 : it lasted not 7 days as promised, BUT a ridicule 24 HOURS. I am now at 2% charge and no chance of getting my cat back who is outside since last night.Problem no 2 : an outstanding amount of messages «  we are unable to locate Luna’s (my cat) Whistle » I live in a typical, suburban residential place, mainly houses with yards, nothing should logically block reception.My only hope is she on day comes back on her own. I am unable to locate her after all this effort and money spend wand cannot return it for a refund. Lost my cat, lost my time, lost my money. I am not exaggerating, this is a warning for other pet owners. Good luck.

I paid for a year membership however the app shuts down at inopportune times. Usually it is good and works as expected.
