I was really bummed that these tend to unscrew. Whenever I lift, even if I tighten the little caps on with all my might, as the momentum of the plate causes the plate to rotate even a small amount, the cap will unscrew. This seems a bit unsafe and between every set I feel the need to set the weight down and tighten the caps up. I truly didn’t expect this. They seem to bear the weight fine and I haven’t gotten injured by these but it’s certainly something I wish I knew these would have an issue with before buying.

I've had these since March of 2020. I use them 2X per week for my upper body workouts at home. It's easy to change weights and the locking stars fasten securely. I haven't had more than 50 lbs on either dumbbell, but they hold that weight with no problem. The ones they replaced weighed in at 5 lbs with the collars; these are around 3.9 lbs each. That means I'm always adding 2 1.25 lb discs to get me above a round number like 10, 25, 35, etc. That way on the days I'm at the gym and grab a 45 lb dumbbell I can rip off a set without struggling at the end of 15 reps. Some reviews mentioned the lack of durability and I think that has to do with whether you put them down or toss them down when done with a set. If you're used to going to a gym and using professional grade equipment just treat these with a little more care and they'll be fine. For $20, what do you want?

I needed a replacement handle for a Bollinger weight set that is over 20 years old. I had my doubts after reading about durability issues for this handle set, but they were the only ones that would be available sooner than three months due to pandemic supply delays.Fast forward over 9 months later, and this set with the collars look almost brand new. Part of that might be due to some workout slacking on my part, but as long as I treat these with some respect instead of banging them around indiscriminately like a Neanderthal, they'll hold up through at least the end of the current pandemic.The finish is cheap, so expect some flaking. I'd wipe these down with a damp cloth before first use to get rid of any flaking that you might come across. Once that was done, I've had no other issues.

Well, this item was not available for most of 2020. It is January 2020 and they just became available again. The pair I ordered came in a week (Amazon Prime shipping). Packaging was excellent!!!The chrome coating on the handles are nicely done. Collars do have some minor imperfections. It seems that a couple of them were not machined very well in some areas before coating was applied. It is cosmetic and does not affect operation.Weight wise, these handles are NOT 4 lbs as advertised! Even with the collars on they weigh approximately 3 lb 12 oz. Without collars they weigh 2 lb 12 1/2 oz. A pair of collars weigh 15 3/8 oz. FYI. I have other handles purchased on different years and they weight approximately 3 lb 4 oz (w/o clamps) Again, it is not a deal breaker for me. Just informing...Final verdict: They are good handles for a decent price.

These dumbbell bars are better than I had even hoped for; better than a much more expensive set of two which I bought at the well-thought-of specialty store from which I have bought all of my equipment... Lifecycle elliptical, True treadmill, gym sets, weights, racks, etc.The bar threading is smooth, but firm. The collar nuts remain tighter than others, and the handgrip is perfect. They easily fit well on the weight rack. The overall quality is very, very good. I highly recommend these.Delivery was as initially informed, and anticipated.

This is great for a home gym - especially if you can find used metal plates. It is chrome and collars are well machined so not likely to rust if it is in your garage. Price was reasonable.

May need to spray anti rust as this chrome is bound to get rusted in the florida humidity. Otherwise, solid and definitely worth the price.

This is my second set. Was a little frustrayed at first trying to lock the collars. Learned to use the weights to twist the collars into place and no more slipping!

The product is of generally good materials. It's sturdy and does a good job. The only drawback is the grip area is a tad to long. This causes pain in cubitus-5th metacarpal articulation.
