L'Epicurien Confit of Lavender Flowers 4.4 oz.

I bought this as a gift for my sister. She said it was delicious -- perfect for toast and/or her English muffin.So . . . a few months later, I bought some for myself and love it. Perfect on my toasted English muffin or sourdough toast.

We tried many floral jams at our tea party, and this lavender was one of the favorites. I was concerned on any floral jams that it might be "perfume-y", but the hints of a honey taste along with the subtle floral notes. Jelly is clear, with some flecks of flower bits. We served in this little jar, which was cute and provided ingredients for anyone that needed to read it. The jar is small, but was plenty for tasting on crackers at our party, as there were several jellies.

I’ve ordered this Lavender Confit for years even though I could probably make some because it is so good. Today, my order of two jars (1 mo supply for me) was delivered and the package looked wet. One jar was okay but the other had completely spilled out inside the package and isn’t salvageable. Unfortunately, it isn’t something they will replace even if damaged, so I get stuck with paying for an expensive jar of something that was ruined and I can’t use. I may just have to start making it. I do have to admit that this is the first time it’s ever been ruined…but the fact that it can’t be replaced makes me sad.

2nd order had lots more lavender & was delicious. It’s a bit inconsistent, sometimes with a stronger lavender flavor, which may be due to the flowers always good; but, sometimes superb!

I love this confit! I spread it on small salty crackers. I love the sweet and salty combination for an afternoon or evening snack.

I adore lavender jam, but have a hard time finding it. I must admit that I was a little bit nervous about ordering it from an unknown, but figured it was worth the risk at only $9. I’m happy to report that this jam tastes exactly like I wanted. I’ll definitely be ordering this again!

Slight lavendar taste, no noticeable flowers in it.

Amazing stuff - worth every penny.
