Product Description The transitional swaddle sack is designed to bridge the gap from swaddle to sleeping sack. when baby is ready to transition from a swaddle, but not ready for a sleeveless wearable blanket, the transitional swaddle sack is a great option to (1) keep baby snug and warm, (2) allow baby the use of his or her arms, and (3) allow baby to self-soothe by sucking on his or her hands. the swaddle sack is perfect for babies who prefer to sleep with arms up. the swaddle sack supports baby in a back-sleeping position and allows for multiple arm and hand positions to help baby sleep better. the transitional swaddle sack is an innovative design featuring uniquely shaped 3/sleeves with fold over mitten cuffs to allow baby to have full access to hands to self-soothe and partial swaddle snugness to help reduce the startle reflex that can wake a sleeping baby. the arms up sleeve design is a safer sleep solution, because if baby rolls over, the design allows baby to use their arms to lift their torso and reposition his or her head to get access to air. experts and doctors strongly recommend that parents stop restraining baby’s arms in a snug swaddle when baby shows signs of starting to roll over, and the transitional swaddle sack is a safer option for babies after they’ve outgrown swaddling. the sleeves will help keep baby comfortably warm. many parents prefer the transitional swaddle sack instead using a sleeveless sleeping sack, because when baby outgrows swaddling, baby may not be ready for a sleeveless wearable blanket. the lightweight breathable cotton knit fabric reduces risk of overheating. the transitional swaddle sack design provides an important innovation that allows caregiver two options for providing baby access to hands. the fold over mitten cuffs may be worm open or closed: (1) parents can open the cuffs, so baby can self-soothe, or (2) parents can close the cuffs to protect baby from facial scratches. the design allows baby to self-soothe which is important because self-soothing helps baby sleep better and longer. the uniquely-shaped ¾-length sleeves are not full length, so baby’s arms will be close to body when mitten cuffs are closed for swaddle snugness. the patent pending sleeve design are not full length “by design.” when the mitten cuffs are closed and baby is placed in the transitional swaddle sack, the uniquely shaped arms up design positions baby’s in a flexed, close-to-body, arms-up position, and shape and length of the sleeve helps partially suppress the startle reflex. parents are encouraged to close the cuffs first, and then place baby in the sack. if the caregiver wants to allow baby to suck directly on hands, then open one or both of the mitten cuffs. the 2-way zipper makes the transitional swaddle sack easy to use for the caregiver. the zipper has two zipper pulls – one at the neckline and one at the foot of the sack. the zipper zips down from the top to make it easy to place baby in the sack and zips up from the bottom to make it easy to check baby’s diaper. parents are delighted with the 2-way zipper and the ease of use. the swaddle sack middle section is slightly tapered to place modest pressure on baby’s tummy and provide swaddle snugness. the lower section is less spacious than a typical sleeping sack, and in turn, the swaddle sack provides some suppression of the startle reflex for the legs. the hip healthy design allows baby's knees and hips to flex. the design complies with the international hip dysplasia institute guidelines. winner of multiple awards including the mom’s choice award, parent’s pick award, and tillywig award. the transitional swaddle sack is made from premium, stretchy cotton knit and exclusive designer prints. the premium cotton fabric is machine washable. swaddle sack is a registered trademark of swaddle designs. the amazing baby transitional swaddle sack is designed and manufactured by swaddle designs exclusively available on . patent pending. Love it
Love this thing. My baby is good at punching himself in the face and waking himself up when wriggling. This prevents that and has given me more sleep than I hve had in a while.

Didn’t help Moro reflex, hope it’ll help with transition in future
Liked the idea that you could unfold the cuffs so baby could still suck his hands. However when I folded the cuffs I didn’t find it helped with the Moro reflex. Material is too stretchy

A light option
The body is tight (my baby was tiny) and material quite thin, only recommend this for summer time babies 👶🏼

good value for price, nice design and soft cotton
It is definitely a nicely presented gift box ideal. loved the 100% cotton and natural feel . i am delighted because it enabaled the sack being perfect for transitioning Maria from swaddling to sleeveless sleeping bag, allowing the baby sleep up , helping her to self-soothe . I liked the fold-over mittens that can be worn open and closed, for scratch-free swaddling. Also the zipper zips down from the top to make it easy to place baby in the sack and zips up from the bottom to make it easy to check baby’s diaper. we were delighted with the 2-way zipper and the ease of use. The 100 % cotton was a win win and the uniquely shaped arms, it allowed Maria to get comfortable and relax. It is a good value for price product

Excellent quality, washes well and ovely and soft
Firstly, the swaddle sack is really nicely packaged so would make a nice gift in its box. It also has a useful card inside explaining the benefits of the swaddle sack including for the 3 to 6 months version - partial suppression of the Moro/startle reflex, meaning baby is less likely to wake themselves up jumping. The swaddle sack washes well and is lovely and soft - the cotton is nice and thin, meaning for winter you can put an additional blanket on top, but in hot weather it can replace other bedding as it is light enough with just a nappy underneath to keep baby cool.Baby seems very comfortable in it, sleeps well and the shape of the arms of the swaddle sack suit his "arms-up" way of sleeping. There's plenty of legroom - my grandson is 10 weeks old but is alrady 65 cms long, and there's plenty of room for him to continue using this for a good while. The two-way zips are really useful too, middle of the night nappy changes can be done without wrestling with baby's arms.

Lovely quality
This is an intermediate swaddle sack, marketed between a newborn swaddle sack and a sleeping sack for 6 months+. And herein is my only real issue with it - it is by definition only really something you'd use for a couple of months, and is quite pricey. I suspect we could move straight from the same brand's swaddle sacks to their sleeping sacks and, if you're considering this, perhaps go straight for the latter - you'll only end of buying it in 2-3 months anyway.Other than this, I love the product. It is well thought out, with a zip that works from both ends, lots of options on the arms, and really high quality throughout.
