Kolpin Rear Trail Box - 93201, Black

Really nice box, waterproof, solid and secure. I dont have a need for the keyed lock but its nice if you need it. Very sturdy box but i didn't use the U bolts, i used nutcerts and a piece of flat 1/4" aluminum bar for mounting for piece of mind. My dad likes it as a kind of backrest when he rides for hunting since his balance isnt real good anymore at 72. Its on sale as of this review for about $20 less then i paid too.

Looks great on my ATV. Reached out to customer service on a Monday, as I had two right reflectors, by Wednesday I received a complete new set, 😁, great customer service, 👍. Much appreciated.

This item worked perfectly and fit perfect on my 2024 Suzuki King quad and I ordered the optional luggage rack for on top for extra tiedown. Space worked perfectly.

Wednesday, 21 May 2014My point in review regards the Kolpin 93201 Rear Trail Box:I’d chosen the-(Kolpin 93201 Rear Trail Box)-under the conditions it was meant to be a secure and solid box. My opinion is the rubber locks are not that secure. The key lock is also weak due to the metal plate attached to the key lock being very flimsy; You can actually bend the metal plate with your index finger it’s that weak.Kolpin also say the box fits to large sized adult helmets but when attempting to put a medium adult sized Shoei helmet in, it only just about fits in with of course a slight pulling from the outside of the box for the helmet to surpass the outside edges.Overall it is a nice sized box but in all honesty Koplin need to go back to the drawing board and use stronger materials rather than very cheap budget materials.Luckily enough for myself I am handy at being able to rectify the key lock issue and to secure the trail box further I plan to rivet on a nice tidy hasp and staple for added security and replace the key lock plate with a much stronger/thicker plate than the one Kolpin uses.The other point that attracted me to the Kolpins trail box you’re able to purchase a top rack to fit on top of the lid-good idea but again kolpin do need sort the problems regards all the locks on the box. At the time writing the review I haven’t yet purchased the top rack to fit on the top lid.I do feel too the colour of the box it being supposedly black could be more a deeper black it looks more like an off grey colour. The-U- bolts to fit the box to the Quad rear rack I’d have thought Kolpin would supply us four-U-bolts but they only provide us with two which meant I had to buy two more at further cost because clearly to place the trail box in situ with two-U-bolts for the size of the box it’s not enough neither will it be secure enough.With regards value for money: I’d have to say I do feel at a loss due to having to spend more money on Kolpins trial box plus time wasted to correct there errors so no I believe we are not getting value for our hard earned pennies.Kolpin do have the ideas but don’t put it into practice very well when it comes to cost they apparently review budget first then come with it a bad naming & poor comments from there customers this defiantly seemly appears to be of their interests for now. Hopefully we will see better in the near future from Kolpin.RegardsSteven.

You bolts and assembly were simple. Fits perfectly on the back of my Polaris Sportsman Hunt Special 570
