Eylar Protective Hard Case Water & Shock Proof w/Foam TSA Approved 13.37 inch 11.62 inch 6 inch Yellow

I was going offshore fishing and wanted a water resistant case to protect my Nikon camera and lenses. This is an alternative to an expensive Pelican case. This case has a nice o-ring seal and strong plastic construction. The handle and latches are plenty strong. Foam insert is customizable for any need, keeping fragile items from vibration and shock.This is a strong case and a good value.

For the price, these are really great cases. We are currently using them to keep some sensitive scanning devices protected from the elements of a manufacturing shop environment. The customizable foam inserts are great, the latches and hinges are very well constructed. I imagine these will last a long time.

I also have an identical sized Pelican case. Needed more, but found this one. This is a perfect and improved alternative to Pelican cases. A tad lighter but seems more sturdy. Two levels of middle foam rather than one in the same size case. Better latches too. Only negative is I got the yellow color and it's more orange than yellow. But still stands out, which is why I got that color.

4.5 stars - had some difficulty "pinching" out some of the pinch-out foam causing it to rip instead.Otherwise, I got this for my husband's laser leveling kit because 1) the case it came in was a joke, soft-sided, hardly any padding for the laser device, and not enough room to put any of the other things needed, such as the receiver, 2) I wanted a hard, protective case where all of the stuff for laser leveling could be stored instead of multiple different cases. I was able to get the laser level device, charging cord & power adapter, pivoting base, laser target plate and laser detector receiver in the case. I had also wanted to fit in the protective glasses, but there wasn't enough room (would have been if I had gotten a bigger case). I was able to be pretty accurate with pinching out foam to make custom sized compartments - the only issue was when either the foam refused to pinch out and tore, which then resulted in some of the foam pieces I wanted to stay ripping out, or when you have only 1 section of foam between compartments and they don't want to stay because they are pinch out... not sure how I am going to address that, I was thinking maybe some sort of foam glue?

The case itself is nice and sturdy. This is about as inexpensive as youre going to find brand new. The pluck foam is not good, so I replaced it with a sturdy foam. Also, is not the yellow it appears in the picture. It has a bit more orange to itOverall, good case though

I have two vintage, valuable and highly breakable bench sized Japanese Natural Whetstones (JNATS).They are about 8x3x4 and 8x3x2 inches and they weigh in between 3 and 5 pounds each. I’m always worried that I’m going to break or chip the stones during transport or even storage in my shop.This carrying case is an ideal solution for transport and storage of my JNAT stones. The attached photos show the perfect fit of the foam inserts facilitated by the break away/removable foam pieces to customize the case to one of my two stones.I’m very happy with the protective capability of this case and hopefully my JNATS will survive for generations with the help of this case. I really like this case, it's an ideal size for 2 pistols and accompanying magazines. I saw a tip in a review to use cocktail sticks to mark the area to remove the sponge squares from and it worked well, creating a nice snug fit.

This carries an AED and first aid supplies into some tough places. It is fantastic for the price.I don't know that it would be milspec tough, and would splurge on higher end gear if I were returning downrange, but for general use - These are great.Buy with confidence and enjoy those saved dollars on something else!
