Works great for patching anything up
DryDex Spackling is a fantastic product for anyone doing home repairs or DIY projects. What I love most is how easy it is to apply the smooth, creamy texture spreads effortlessly with a putty knife and fills cracks, holes, and dents evenly without clumping. One of the best features is the dry time indicator: it goes on pink and dries to white, which makes it super easy to know exactly when it’s ready to sand and paint. That saved me so much guesswork and frustration compared to other spackling products. Once dry, it sands down nicely and blends seamlessly with the surrounding wall for a clean, professional finish. Overall, DryDex Spackling works exactly as advertised, is simple to use, and delivers excellent results a must-have for quick fixes and bigger patching jobs alike. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for reliable spackling that makes wall repair a breeze.

Easy-to-Use Spackle – Goes On Pink, Dries White
I’ve used the Dap DryDex spackling for small wall repairs, and it works exactly as promised. The pink color when applied makes it easy to see where you’ve patched, and it dries white so you know when it’s ready to sand and paint. It spreads smoothly, fills holes and cracks well, and sands down without crumbling. Great for nail holes, dings, and small repairs on both interior and exterior surfaces. A half-pint tub goes a long way for little fixes around the house. Pros: Applies pink, dries white for clear drying indicator Smooth application and easy to sand Works for both interior and exterior projects Good size tub for small household repairs Cons: Tub can dry out if not sealed tightly Not ideal for large/deep patches (better for small fixes) Overall, this is a simple, effective spackling compound that makes patching walls quick and foolproof. Perfect for everyday touch-ups before painting.

Goes on pink, turns white as it dries! Works well!
Does as it says! The first hole I patched was rather large (maybe 1 inch deep, 2 inches wide) from a ripped down curtain rod (thanks to my cats) and it went on pink and slowly dried to white - however it did crack as it dried. Though I think the crack happened because the size of the hole and it was my first time using a spackle like this. Going to go over it again with another coat. I patched a smaller couple of holes from a small ding and a nail hole and they covered up and dried perfectly so I’m sure it’s user error on the large patch!

Gets the Job Done
This stuff works great. I'm using it to fill in nail holes & a few other minor things. It goes on easily and with it being pink, (until it dries white), it makes it easier for me somehow. I was also happy it comes in the small tub size since i did not need a huge amount. My only complaint is it doesn't seem to close well so I worry about the longevity of it. It would be nice if it "snapped " close.

Good Patch Compound
Yes, this is spackling, which is another word for patching compound. Easiest and fastest way to apply this is with a credit card. And when it dries, you can sand it smooth. Or not. It depends on what texture surface you are repairing. Some ceilings are rough-textured, and DryDex excels on those. When it's wet, it's pink which makes it easier for you to tell which is the spackle and which is the surface you're trying to patch up. When it's dry, it's white.

Pink to white
Second time we have gotten this product and we love it. The pink to white is nice because then you know for sure that it's dried before sanding it down and covering it with paint. The spackle seems to be fairly strong and durable. Totally worth the money with the amount you get in the container. Seems to stick well on a clean dry wall over a patch.

I love how it goes on dark pink, then goes white as it dries. Works well and dries fast.

I got this to repaid a hole in the wall my ex had punched. I’m a 26 year old woman who’s never done any kind of repair work before, but I got this and a wall patch kit and watched 1 tiktok video. It took me about 15 minutes and barely any elbow grease to fix the damage and I didn’t need any help from a man!!! And there’s still tons left! I was able to fill a fist sized hole plus about 6 inches of damage around it, fill up any nail/screw holes, and still have over half the container left. Wonderful purchase. I also really like that it changed from pink to white once dry, that helps a lot as I can see from across the room when it’s ready to be sanded!
