Way pay the hvac guy $200 plus when you can do it yourself. These capacitors are not expensive but the labor is for 5 minutes. It was definitely with the money and works great, I bought an extra just in case.

Works great, AC went out on a crazy hot summer 2024. This arrived next morning and within an hour I had AC again!

Saved the weekend.
Our AC went out over the weekend and since we just had the motor replaced in January, we figured it was the capacitor. The fan outside was not turning on, so I purchased this item which came overnight and by the morning it was replaced. It took about 7 hours for the house to cool down, but install was a success. We have had it in place for two weeks now with no issues. I will say it was a little fatter than the previous one we have installed, but the V were accurate and it works great.

It did the trick
My central air failed at the hottest time of year and after a bit of research, I was pretty sure that the capacitor had failed. The replacement job looked simple, so I ordered this capacitor from Amazon, rather than pay a contractor an outrageous price to do the repair. Yay for Amazon as always! I had the part within a couple of days, replaced the old capacitor with no difficulty at all, and voila!! My house is cool again! The capacitor looked nearly identical to the one which failed, had identical electrical specs, and was reasonably priced. It’s been working flawlessly for several days in 90 degree heat, but I can’t speak for longevity this early in the game. Thanks, Amazon!

Save yourself some money and learn how to replace your AC's capacitor! its an easy fix and takes only 15-20 minutes!the capacitor has been in place for a month now and my house hasn't burned down, so you know this works!

It's the right size for my central A/C compressor/fan and the A/C is working again.
