They sound great on my old Gretsch Archtop guitar!
I own 7 guitars (all Gretsch), and 9 bass guitars (6 Gretsch) and the only one I use flat wound strings on is my old archtop jazz guitar. I love the way they feel on my old fingers, and they really give the guitar a nice warm sound that is perfect for that instrument. I've been using DR's since last century, and will probably continue until I can no longer play.

NOT ACOUSTIC
They are listed as "DR Strings Acoustic Guitar Strings".But if you look at the photo of the pack on the top left hand side it states "electric".I did not notice it until after I opened the package, so now I can't even return them.UPDATE: Amazon did allow a return and refunded my money.

Feels a bit rough not smooth
Felt rough out of the box, not smooth. Maybe would be ok with some lubrication. I guess you get what you pay for.

Nice strings
Not a fan of noise acoustic strings make when sliding fingers across them. These fit the bill and sound good.

Defective
They are nice sounding flats, but this is the second set I've bought where one of the strings would not intonate. I won't buy buying DR Flats again.

Premium Strings for only a few dollars more.
I have used DR Titefit strings almost exclusively for the last few years. They sound good, don't turn your fingers black like some brands, and they last a long time. They are only a couple of dollars more than the cheap brands for a premium string. I also have never broken one of the DR strings.
