It sits sideways and flush against my plate. It’s solidly built w/ multiple options as needed. Amazing and worth the higher price tag.

I was all excited to get it, opened up box, pulled it out and then disappointment hit as soon as I noticed I have no way to attach it to my winch line because the pin needed to attach it not there! ordered a replacement, lets see how that goes and then i will update this review. update: second hook came in and is also missing the pin...don't waste your time with these...they can't be used.
