Quality, reliable adapter for France and Germany
Took a recent family trip from the USA (where we live) to France and Germany. I bought these adapters specifically because my wife had bought a 250V hearing pad for the bed when we last went to the UK. I didn’t want to buy another one, so I wanted our adapters to work for our US devices and the for the UK plug. These are a solid fit, and also work perfectly in the slightly-different Germany and France plugs. Overall, as advertised, and plan to use them in return trips.

Favorite style of adapter
I purchased these adapters for a trip to Argentina and they worked flawlessly. I have several Types of the OREI adapter and they are very reliable. The reason I keep buying this style is that each adapter has two outlets so I'm able to plug in twice as much as one of those universal block adapters.

Haven't used them yet
I will be using these adapters on a trip to Italy later in the year. Right now all I can say about them is that the price is right and they look like they'll work just fine. The key with adapters like this one is to make sure you get the right one for the country you're visiting. I like the fact that there is an extra place to plug something in on these adapters. For instance, if you found yourself in a situation where there was only one outlet that was already being used by a lamp, you could unplug the lamp, plug in the adapter, then still have spaces to plug the lamp into the adapter and another place for an American style plug for your phone charger, etc.

Worked well in Italy
I loved that this outlet has the 3 prongs or pins (grounded version) for use in Italy. There is a 2 pin version which is more universal but the 3 pins provides a more secure fit in Italy’s outlets (doesn’t fall out of wall socket) and it provides a grounded connection which should be used if plugging a USA plug w/ the round grounded pin (3 prongs). The 2 pin adaptor is only meant to be used with a standard 2 prong USA plug. Better and safer hairdryers and extension cords will have the round grounded pin & should only be plugged into the 3 pin grounded Italy adaptor. This is an adaptor (NOT a converter) so it will NOT change the electric current & should only be used with items that are rated 110-240. The negative is that the 3 pin grounded outlets are not the standard European outlet so they are only work for Italy (& Chili I think). Unfortunately, I have never seen a 3 pin grounded plug on any of the all-in-one universal adaptors that tend to be so bulky. Also, you should carry at least 1 adaptor that is a 2 prong (standard European) when traveling to Italy. Not every outlet there is a 3 prong. I came across one outlet in my 2 weeks of travel throughout Italy that was a 2 prong outlet. You can plug a 2 pin adaptor into a 3 pin outlet but you cannot plug a 3 pin adaptor into a 2 pin outlet. But I will repeat that you should NOT plug a 3 pronged usa plug (grounded) into the 2 pin Italy adaptor (not grounded) even though you physically can do so.

Versatile Travel Adapter
These power plug adapters have been incredibly useful. The 2-in-1 design with a USA grounded outlet and universal socket offers versatility, allowing me to charge multiple devices simultaneously. The Type I compatibility ensures that the adapters work seamlessly in countries like Fiji and Argentina as well. With a pack of four adapters, I always have extras on hand for various devices and travel companions. Overall, these adapters have simplified my international travels and provided peace of mind.

Separated in two whilst trying to unplug - highly dangerous.
This review is for the "OREI 2 in 1 USA to South Africa Adapter Plug (Type M)".I'm in Johannesburg now on a work trip and I just tried to remove it from the wall (for the first time since buying it). It separated in two, leaving the metal prongs still fully in the electrical socket and internal metal electrical connectors exposed in a highly dangerous manner. Fortunately the electrical socket I was using was switched - there are sockets here which are not switched and are always live. If you live in the USA, bear in mind that the 220V used here in South Africa (or indeed in Europe for equivalent adaptors) is far more dangerous than your 110/115V.The amount of force I used was so low that the metal prongs did not even move from the socket - the unit separated before that could happen. Looking at the internal construction, the only things holding the adaptor together are 3 plastic clips. These didn't even break during the separation - a light force simply defeated them. Furthermore the nature of the design is such that in the event of this happening, the live (if the switch is on) metal connectors are exposed in a way that is very easy to touch, and which makes it very difficult to remove the failed adaptor safely if it is in an "always on" socket. This purchase was a set of 2 adaptors and the other one has not failed. Having experienced the above, I feel that the design of the product is so poor that I will bin the other one and look for something more robust (prefereably held together using screws or similar). I accept that manufactured products can fail from time to time, but it is not acceptable for this to result in as dangerous situation as I experienced here.(I took various photos of the broken adaptor but the new format reviews page does not seem to allow me to add them.)
