Some of them did come disassembled in the box, but it took all of 30 seconds to screw them back on. I took one apart for the picture to show what it looked like. While my expectations for these types of pens are generally low, I haven't had any issues with them in terms of ink vibrancy or woritng ability. Nothing different from standard issues that arise with any ballpoint or retractable pen. They do get stuck sometimes when trying to retract them, but I've always had that problem with these types of pens—it seems to come with the territory. I bought these for annotating articles and books, and so far they're perfect. They're espcially great for my bibles, which have thin margins and pages: the size of the tip and the way the ink goes on the page make them perfect for taking precise notes in a small space that don't bleed onto the next page. A lit of my high-end pens were either too deep or the ink bled through. These were nice and cheap, and got the job done fantastically. I love the color range and think it's wonderful to only need one pen to take color-coded notes with. Some of the reviews mentions that they break easily, which is partially true in my experience. As a "pen clicker," I often play with pens while reading or focusing on something else and have had many mishaps with the springs on my pens. These pens are no different, but they're very easy to take apart and fix. They are refillable too since it's simple to disassembled and reassemble all of the parts.

I used these as end of the year presents for my students. They loved the variety of colors and how fun it was to use. The love to choose different colors to write with. All the colors write the same and the pen works well.

I use these for a prize for my students. They go nuts for them! They work great and kids love them. I've never had them leak and love all the color options

The Pros about this product. Price point is affordable to me as I bought these as little gifts for my students for Christmas. They absolutely loved them (3rd grade). They worked fine - no issues there. I loved that they came in a pack of 28 as I had 26 students when I purchased them. This gave me some extras should I get a new student (always seems to happen and of course I got a new student so was up to 27). Con: One pen arrived broken - the barrel of the pen was cracked. Obviously, I didn't feel I could use it as a gift. Note: To keep students from getting confused about who owned which pen, I used my Cricket and cut out permanent vinyl name tags for the pens. They really loved them - it was a big win for me! I would have given 5 stars had one not arrived damaged.

These were such a hit in my classroom (with adults!). Will reorder again :)

Cheaply made some broke, at the tip.

I buy this every year for my students and they love these pens. I teach primary.

I bought these to put in my Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes this year. After making sure that all the caps were tight, I tested each pen to make sure that they were working. Some of the colors took a little bit to get them going, but all of the colors and all of the pens work. I think the kids will be happy with them. And at less than $.50 each, they are a good bargain.
