The best just got better
I've been using the Godox AD200 for years and it has been a very dependable workhorse. It's powerful and compact enough that I keep two in my camera bag at all times. I shoot a lot of on-site portraits and I often shoot real estate photos with them. My only reservations about the unit have been addressed. I use the bare bulb head for the hair light in my headshots. A modeling light would've been nice and now, it has one. Secondly, the slide switch on the side of the previous units would sometimes be moved during travel and I'd find that the battery was low or depleted. Now, with the two-step power up process, that's no longer an issue. Lastly, the display on the rear of the unit was very dim and almost impossible to read in daylight which is where these units are often used. No more because they replaced the display with a very bright and easy to read display. I also bought the round flash heads as they give a nice, even light. They utilize the Godox magnetic modifiers and filters too. Using the round heads and the diffuser dome modifier in outdoor situation works as well, if not better, than using umbrellas. The domes won't catch the breezes like an umbrella would too. Kudos to Godox on a wonderful product made even better.

Powerful & Portable - The perfect 200w/s flash!
The Godox AD200Pro builds upon a longstanding legacy of the original Godox AD200. An excellent high powered 200 w/s portable flash with super fast recycle times. It's versatile design allows you to use a Fresnel head or the included bare flash tube for more even distribution when used with large modifiers. The AD200Pro has long been many professional photographers go-to on-location light source, now with extremely stable color temperature accuracy between flashes it’s even more of a no-brainer. In addition to the increased color accuracy, exposure accuracy is now within 1/10th of a stop between pops. This is great for in-studio or outdoors as once you dial in your settings you can be reassured of consistent results. As with the previous model, this portable strobe works seamlessly with other Godox wireless triggers for a reliable, easy to use experience. The included lithium ion battery pack is rechargeable and replaceable; however in my real-world experience with this I could shoot a full wedding day with high power output and still have plenty of juice left at the end of the day. The Fresnel head is the same size as previous models, which is great because I can still use my my old modifiers with it.Overall this is an excellent flash and an unbeatable value for the reliability and performance output. I will be purchasing another for my kit soon.

Highly Recommend
I already have the godox V860ii and decided to add one more light for extra power. I am also concerned about my tight budget too. I oftern use it for my indoor photography and so this AD200 PRO satisfied my requirements. I did have an idea to get the regular AD200 , but i dont want to miss the extra perks with this so called PRO model. This is a refreshed model of the AD200 by adding the extra required features needed.I used the one of my friends AD200 and we tested it with this PRO model. And yes, there are some differences in the output. Also i like the AKr1 accessory kit which i tired and it is much needed for this PRO setup. There is an improvement on the recycle time aswel. when i tested next to the AD200, i can feel itMy next purchase will be the AKr kit as i already have the round head for this PRO setup. This is a must for a starting professionals. This also gives out a decent outdoor lighting as well.I would definitely recommend this AD200 PRO.

Great flash, waiting for fitment
This is a great flash and works at 1/512 in manual and with the X3 trigger. Waiting for mounting options as this is slightly larger than the previous model. Works with the H200R Round head. (listed in the instructions) Tight fit but works. Only marked down raiting until a mount is available for moderators.

Great for portrait photography and product photography
I had issues when doing outdoor photography when trying to illuminate a subject but the exposure from the sun made it difficult to do that in certain situations. I used a reflector but it still wasn’t enough for the subject. This product saved me and it adds great contrast to the picture and overall depth of the photo.

Incredibly Versatile
Awesome flash, strobe, speedlite, I'm not sure what to call it, but it looks like an electric shaver and it's the most versatile and portable light I've ever used. It even comes with an umbrella bracket in the box... sure it can't be used without the bracket, but every flash should come with an umbrella bracket in the box.Seriously it's a cool flash, Canon and Nikon haven't done anything unique with lighting in years, and Profoto is too busy trying to convince a $300 umbrella is somehow better than an $11 one. Good is the only place where innovation in lighting is truly happening. Not just by designing uniques lighting solutions, but also with the radio trigger system. Hands down the best and it's built directly into all of their lights. The streak continues with the AD200Pro.
