I took a Stitches class with Betsy Hershberg and she is a fabulous teacher. We learned so much in one short class that when I returned home I decided to buy her book to help remember what we learned. With the help of her instruction I have a better idea of how a project might look with placed beads versus prestrung beads as well as how beads behave with different stitches. She has done a lot of experimentation and shares her results.In truth, I have not made any projects from this book as I was interested in the methodology, but she did have several examples in the class and they looked fabulous. Many of us were quite surprised by what can be done with a bit of yarn and beads and inspired to do some experimentation on our own.

I love this book! I have waited a long time to get this book to learn about this type of jewelry creation! I’m excited to dive in because it’s written very well, with great detail!

I ordered this book right after knitting my first beaded scarf. The information in the beginning of the book is great. She provides good basic information about knitting with beads from types of yarn, amounts of beads per size and weight, and to different ways to add beads to your project - either prestringing them at the beginning of the project or adding them one at a time. She discusses some of the processes she went through to come up with the various projects in her book. All of the projects in her book are for prestringing the beads.

This is the rare knitting book that's worth a spot on my already crowded reference shelf. The layout and design of this book are absolutely beautiful, but more importantly the content is clear and straightforward. Most of the designs are so easy that you wonder why you didn't just think of them yourself. It's hard not to be inspired to start thinking of yarn, rather than wire or silk cord as a foundation for bead creations. If you're not careful, this book will have you knitting up beads just to knit them and work them into something in the future.

This book is awesome. The photography is stunning and inspiring; the patterns are well written and easy to understand; the book is arranged with a wonderful selection of projects that will give the knitter forward momentum and the skills to create her own designs. The source guide is well organized with numerous personal notations from the author. I pre-ordered this book from Amazon when the publication was announced. It was well worth the wait !

I ordered this book for my dear friend. I looked through it and totally found projectst that I want to make. If she has this book in her library, I will give her something else. In any case, I do plan on getting a copy for myself!

I first saw this book in with information that I received at the Pittsburgh, Pa yearly knitting retreat and it sparked my interest immediately. As a bling bling girl and some one who loves to knit and is embarking on jewerly making I had to have the book. I was not disappointed!!!!! Everyone at my knitting guild is waiting to see and read at our next meeting.

.The work is beautiful......projects are excellent....but the process is time consuming , but the author is certainly a tremendously gifted artist...and the book,is beautiful.

This is a must have for every one that knits with beads , stunning ideas , great designs!clearly explained. Well worth its money.
