Greatest Favorite Source of Omega 3 DHA EPA
When I went through the reviews there were some bad ones however I noticed they were old and that the product has a new formula since then. This is the highest cleanest purest form of omega 3 DHA EPA and I love that it is from algae not fish. I am on my third bottle and hoping I can get a fourth but they are sold out please make more! My favorite part about this product is the clean ingredients most omega 3 DHA EPA products have other fats / oils such as sunflower oil added. There is no taste it is like taking a drop of any oil. When you first try it you may notice flavors such as the cherry oil which isn’t bad and faint and only because your not used to it. It is gentle and doesn’t cause nausea or sensitivities with stomach etc, if you do have that I wouldn’t be quick to blame this product it could be something else. You only need the serving size of one dropper or maybe your getting too much of it from your diet or other supplements. Like all supplements, nutrients, healthy or unhealthy food it should be balanced, too much of anything isn’t good and you need gut diversity anyways. This is a great product to use for the long term if you do not eat fish and it is better than supplements your taking for one thing that happens to have DHA EPA as well. Do not take on empty stomach it is only natural that would cause burps with any omega 3 DHA EPA supplement. You can take it without mixing it in your food as well, I take it from the dropper but without letting it touch my mouth since it is important to keep the dropper clean I just hold it above my mouth and I’ll do this right before or after a meal containing fats or in the middle of the meal this is essential since omega 3 DHA EPA will be better absorbed with fats like fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K anyways.

I don't like to post negative reviews but I guess I need to share this. I have taken this product for years. Tonight I took the first dropper ful with my dinner and 1/2 hr or so later I felt nauseated. I vomited 3 times. I never feel nauseated and I don't vomit. My guess is that the omega zen is old. There is no expiration date on the bottle. I looked at it is the same lot # as was on the previous bottle which I bought ages ago. Sorry to have to share this news. I wonder if Amazon and this supplier are selling old bottles of it. I would purchase through the manufacturer and get a date from them.

Quality seems good, but algae oil tastes terrible
This product had a very unpleasant fish taste that really lingers. It's rough. I tried another brand that also had Algae Oil and it was the same, so I don't blame the brand, I just think algae oil tastes terrible. It's back to the fish oil capsules for me.

Fantastic Product
This stuff is great. I'm vegan and this provides me with epa and dha omega 3's. Most affordable source I know of. I take it most days, some days I'll skip, I don't see it as dire. The taste has inproved- they changed the flavor from lime to cherry. Good choice. It has helped reduce acedemic stress.. reduce mental fatigue. My diet is already well thought out so this doesn't like put me in the highest highs....But it does make a difference. I know it is good for me and will gladly post any further observances. Update 2/13/18 I am baffled by the poor reviews on this product. Having taken this for three years now, 1. The flavor has improved 2. Quality of nutrition is top notch. I clearly notice if I need it, or I notice when this fulfills a deficiency. 3. It seems to be the best "bang for buck" Why all the harsh vibes with these reviews? flavor? Did you know many indigenous cultures would rot (ferment) fish along the shore lines to get there healthy fat nutrition? And now most fish and their fats are contaminated with pollutants like plastics and heavy metals. Is this algae supplement really that bad?

Strong aftertaste
This has a weirdly fishy taste, despite being fish-free. I tried hiding it in a smoothie with a bunch of berries, but it's absolutely overpowering. My smoothie tastes fishy now. I got this because it was cheaper than the capsule version, but now I know why it was cheaper.

Great product if you need a EPA boost!
My teenage daughter took an omega 3 test and she was severely deficient in omega 3s. Her nutritionionist wanted her to take high dose fish epa but I asked to give a vegan supplements a try since we’re vegans. She wanted her to get 1000 mg EPA per day, which would translate to too many pills, so I looked for liquids instead. Since we’re also adhering to MM protocol, Deva Vegan was out of the question as it contains citric acid (which is made from black mold). I compared a couple other ones as following and Omega Zen turned out to be the most cost effective so we went with that: Omega-Zen + EPA Liquid $ 29 / 60 ml 150 * 50 = 7,500 mg EPA = 7,5 g EPA per bottle 1 gram / day dose monthly cost $ 128 Dr Fuhrman DHA + EPA Purity Liquid $ 55 / 45 ml 88 * 60 = 5,280 mg EPA = 5,2 g EPA per bottle 1 gram / day dose monthly cost $ 340 Viridian Vegan EPA & DHA $ 35 / 30 ml (In spite of contacting seller about epa content I didn’t get that info - but it’s still very high price per ml!) 3 bottles later she has cut her deficiency in half! I’ll by 3 more bottles and see if we can get to where she needs to be!
