Seems expensive at first glance but you don't need fabric softener. Clothes are clean, clean, clean, light clean fresh scent and soft out of the dryer. So far any stains have disappeared, even without pretreating. Works well in my front loader.

It really means a lot to me to use a laundry detergent which is safe from chemicals and other things, which might raise a red flag from a caution standpoint. Considering that clothing, sheets, towels, etc. are in such close contact with our bodies for all hours of the day, I want to be as safe as possible. I had been using Myers and Seventh Generation, which are a bit more expensive than the Tide detergents ... but after doing several hours of research on different sources which test and explain ingredients, I was surprised to find out that even the 'so called green' detergents used ingredients with possible scary effects. Molly's detergent was ranked the highest from a safety standpoint compared to the others, on several different sources, so I decided to give it a try. The elephant in the room is that other, than The Laundress, it was the most expensive brand I saw. I bought the biggest jug, which gave a little savings, but it still costs 3 - 4x what the average laundry detergent costs. One thing I am really frustrated about is that the measuring system is very difficult. As this is ultra-concentrated, a little goes a long way and for really dirty laundry, the recommended amount is somewhere between the cap being 1/4 to 1/2 of the way full. The markings get totally lost in the cap's design and it is almost impossible to figure out exactly what level to pour in the cap. At this price, there should be markings which stand out on the cap because wasting any of this precious liquid can get expensive. Things I really like about this: - The scent is so fresh smelling and understated. You'll know its there ... but it isn't overwhelming..i wear expensive cologne and I am glad this scent doesn't overpower the cologne scent. The Myers Lavender detergent I used to use which had a weird sort of 'sour' note to it. It bothered me throughout the day and eventually my closet started smelling that way. While Molly's does have a sweet sort of scent, it is fresh and clean, although I would never guess 'ocean mist' was the scent ... it smells more like fabric softener. - It seems to get my clothes a little cleaner than other detergents I've tried, such as Myers or Seventh Generation. I notice my towels are less stained and my whites don't look as grimy. Of course, this won't ever compete with a detergent like Tide ... but the health benefits of not having all the chemicals outweigh the performance for me. As long as the clothes don't smell out of the washer. I feel more comfortable with Molly's detergent's high ratings when it comes to safety ... and trust me, I've done a lot of research on that. The high expense of this is worth it to me ... while not a great value, it works well and isn't loaded with chemicals. I hope they redesign the cap to make it easier to read ... but beyond that, I'll stick with this. I hope my honest review after buying and using this product were helpful to you.

Smells great. Clean ingredients - for the environment and skin (also no cancer-linked ingredients as found in many liquid detergents). We have skin sensitivities and eczema and this scented detergent doesn’t make our skin react aka good skin protection. Clothes look and feel clean aka works well and dissolves easily. It’s a decent size and doesn’t take too much like standard liquid detergents.

This is the BEST laundry detergent I’ve ever used! Dissolves well, a little goes a long way and leaves clothes smelling amazing. The scent is warm and gentle. This detergent literally makes me want to do laundry. Highly recommend!

This is the best laundry detergent I have used in many years. Cleans great, smells good, and makes clothes so soft. Love it and will continue to purchase it.

Price matters, but convenience rules. The only store I can find this in locally, quite the drive, so I now order online! A higher rate, but an excellent product. Hope to catch it or any of their scents on sale and maybe with a air freshener bundle? makes the laundry room smell great for two hours. I only use on my clothes, as does not do well on super dirty or stained clothing, for sheets it is glorious. .

Love the lavender, I've also tried the Citrus but the Citrus did not smell at all. But the lavender is amazing smells good and washes clothes good.

This is divine. If you like the natural scents, (like frankincense and myrrh) you will love this. I could smell it on my clothes literally all day. It won’t be my normal go to.. it’s for special occasions, but I love that I get to use it as a treat.
