My daughter is a great artist and she loved this. Make sure you read the details. The books come in different sizes. We accidentally for the smaller one and had to reorder the larger one for school. Very durable. Pages are thick enough but not too thick. Value for the money for sure. The pages are versatile for the type of pen or pencil /charcoal being used.

This paper is great and will be used not only for drawing but various mixed medium projects. I wish it had more than 30 sheets but I have two and will work with what I have. All-in-all so far I like the product.

This is wonderful, very thick paper for mixed media. It’s as thick as my professional quality watercolor paper. I am using it with watercolor for illustrations, though it is NOT watercolor paper per se, and the paint doesn’t flow as it would on cotton paper. But even with pretty wet washes, the paper buckles very little. It would be great for gouache, and I plan to do some gouache based illustrations as well.I’m taking off one star for the shipping. My 11x14 pad arrived in one of Amazon’s very thin bags, with no support at all. This could easily have resulted in unusable paper. However, mine did arrive practically undamaged. There is only a tiny indentation at the very bottom edge on a few sheets, which won’t really matter to me. It could have been a disaster. Fine art supplies need to be shipped in a box, or at least include stiff cardboard backing in the package to prevent damage. Bad move, Amazon.

Before buying this, I had never worked with grey-toned paper. Honestly makes the drawing process much easier, and felt like it added depth to my drawings. My only problem with this pad is that the paper would tear out to easily. If you flipped the page, it would immediately start to come off the pad. So, if you are trying to keep all your drawing together, be careful

Smooth surface really good for soft sore colored pencils, in my humble opinion.

If you want a mixed media paper in black, do yourself a favor and try this one out. I used Prismacolor Premier pencils on it for starters and it was as easy as buttering bread. Oil pastels worked very well as did graphite. I am excited to try knew media with this paper! This paper is a little pricey and sometimes not even available in various sizes at my local craft stores. I was able to find the right size and saved a little by ordering from Amazon.

A true ly spectacular art surface. I love how thick this paper is. Makes for a great mid tone to work up or down frm.It takes watercolour, acrylics, pencils and markers. True ly delightful to paint on. Highly recommended for mixed media.

Je cherchais un papier pour faire du portrait avec des crayons à colorier Prismacor premier et le résultat est très bon. Le crayon s'applique bien et se blende bien. Le rendu est parfait. J'ai utilisé du pan pastel pour faire le fond et ça donné de bons résultats. Il me reste à tester avec l'aquarelle.

I have used chalk pastels and oil pastels on this paper and looking forward to trying some paint in the future. It is really thick paper, like card stock. Be careful as not to have a lot to erase alot, as it can fade the colour of the black paper, obviously. I'm really happy with it.
