Amazing Support
Purchased the homelink module to go with the Topens A5132 gate opener. Wiring was pretty simple but it did not work properly for me. Pressing the A button opened the gate as expected but the gate would not close unless the B button was pressed and then the A button. I contacted [email protected] and within minutes (Chloe) responded that the jumper was set incorrectly on the module. This was most likely a factory mistake as I did not touch the jumpers. Once I moved the jumper (see picture, the jumper must be moved to the 2 pins in the red box) the module worked perfectly. I followed up with a question about how much current the module draws as I am running on solar+battery. Once again I got a very fast response that the module draws 30ma with a 24v supply. According to Topens, 12Ah batteries and a 30W solar panel should do the job. Very helpful information. Finally, so far the range seems decent mounting the module inside the gate controller case (just take off the top of the homelink module case). In summary, Topens is providing a solid product with excellent support.

Working good
Installed with a Vevor brand dual gates swing openers setup. It was pretty simple just needing 2 wires for + and -, and the other 2 for the external controller terminals on the main board. I had to do a little deciphering between the included instructions and my opener’s instructions to identify what wires went where but not at all complicated. The Included remote Paired easily with both vehicles homelink buttons (20120 Acura MDX, 2018 Ram 1500). Hopefully it lasts!

Didn't work
Simple installation according to the instructions provided with the unit. Remote worked fine. We hadn't programed our vehicles yet and for no reason the gate began opening and closing on its own. We tried contacting customer service who you would hope at this point would provide help ASAP, their answering service only recommended leaving an email request on their web site. We removed the Home-link adapter and the gate functioned properly as before. We returned it to Amazon and have no confidence to order it again.

May not work with older vehicles
This connected right up with my 2024 vehicle but not my 2006. That’s okay though, since you get a remote to use for training and I use it in the 2006 vehicle. It was a cinch to hookup to my TOPENS gate opener. It works pretty well but the range seems limited and there’s a little bit of lag. The combo of these 2 issues can lead to an impasse and the gate not opening. So you have to be pretty close, use a quick light press and wait a bit for it to activate.

Works w/ my car buttons
The 2 buttons programmed easily w/ my vehicles headliner buttons. Range sensitivity has not been verified yet, but don't expect any problems. I wish this had 3 buttons, as my car has 3, but it will work as intented.Instructions included, could use some "English" improvement, as it's not real clear, between car buttons, remote keyfob buttons and button on receiver module circut board.I intend to use this for smarthome automation purposes, connecting the Homelink receivers relays, to a smart home switched input module. If that works out, I intend to purchase another, to mount INSIDE the car, and control a LORA transmitter mounted in the trunk for a long range link.

Connects properly to Homelink but instructions are not clear
This item connects easily enough to the Topens gate opener main board but does not come with all the necessary items for a complete install. The instructions are not clear. It does NOT come with (1) wiring and (2) water proof housing. Topens should include these items, especially since gates are generally installed outdoors. The instructions should probably include this but the antenna comes coiled inside the housing. If you install it as is, the range makes it practically useless. After trial and error and some research, I found that you have to (1) uncoil the antenna wire and (2) make sure it's out in open air and not obstructed

Fixes failed garage door opener receiver
PRO: I have a Genie 7050 garage door operator. The remote for it only works inside the garage so I bought one of these to address the problem. It works great with the included remote and the HomeLink remote mirror in my ID.4.CON: I purchased additional M12 remotes, and they DO NOT work at all. They're getting returned and I'll try again but it would have been better if could purchase a couple more of the remotes that are included in the original receiver.

Super Convenient & Easy to Install
The HomeLink receiver was easy to integrate into my Topens A300 gate opener system, and allows me to now open the gate using the garage door button in my Hyundai car. Super convenient! The receiver was way smaller than I imagined, and instead of putting it into its own weather proof case, I was able to remove the circuit board from the enclosure it came in and add into the A300 gate opener enclosure
