60% growth rate
Of the 10 plants I ordered, only 6 have grown. The 6 that did grow seem to be doing great so far. When I got the roots, some had mold on them. I reached out to the company and they said it was harmless. I planted them anyway according to planting instructions and 4 never came up. The company did not address, replace or respond regarding the 4 that did not grow (which I know some of those were the ones with mold).

Molded roots.
Received my crowns with mold on the roots, I will update later. *Update* 4/25 10 days after receiving my crowns. I was a bit skeptical and irritated because my crowns arrived 10 days ago moldy I was under the impression they would probably not make it I decided to turn my project into a total experiment. I wrote them off completely and decided to soak them for a few hours completely forgetting and a few hours turned into two full days fully submerged I was more than convinced at this point they were a goner.... At this point I no loner cared and decided to plant them crowding each other in a large container for this experiment and as of yesterday 4 of the 10 crowns have pushed up asparagus. IM COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY AND WILL BUY more when design my actual garden bed. I will change the stars to 5 if all 10 push asparagus. Update 5/29 pretty sure they all sprouted so I will give 5/5. Pleased with my experiment.

Very disappointed
I wrong a long review on the green asparagus I purchased. Same company . Pros. They give an extra one crown per package it seems. Cons everything . Moldy asparagus crowns half mushy from being so old . Customer service is a fight to get replacement for moldy plants and I didn't even ask for how many were moldy just ones I didn't think I could save . Acts like you have no idea what you are doing . (I've had an asparagus patch for almost ten years now) . There are so many cons that I can't lost them all . But I have waited a little over a month to see what I got . TINY asparagus. No way this is two year old crown . My two year old crowns I made from seed are much larger than these tiny ferns . So not buy . Just a headache

10 stars!
I purchased these 2 years ago and couldn’t be happier. I followed the seller’s instructions, including hosing off a bit of mold when they arrived. The stocks were a little scrawny the first year, but sweet and delicious. This is our second year and the yield is fantastic. Some of the plants didn’t make it, but the stocks are thick and sweet, and we get fresh ones every day. I would order more if we had more room to plant.

Another great buy!!!
Another great buy from this seller. My purple asparagus did take a little longer to sprout than my Washington asparagus but like they say. Good things come to those who wait! They were a little moldy but 3/4 of them are growing. My kids can’t wait till next year so we can eat them. They were huge roots. Don’t buy from the big magazine company!!! Buy from them you won’t be disappointed!!!!
