Brother Genuine -Drum Unit, DR223CL, Seamless Integration, Yields Up to 18,000 Pages,Black

I bought non-Brother drums to replace my worn out originals but the print quality was terrible. I replaced those with these Brother drums and the print quality is back. Although the non-Brother toner cartridges seem to work fine, stick with the genuine thing for the drum replacements. They cost more, but they work.

I had no idea I needed to ever replace this part for my printer, until one day it said, replace drum unit. I was in shock, but I looked it up, & sure enough, it was a common part that wore out after using my printer for some time. It came with easy directions to replace them. You have to replace all 4 drums, when just one wears out. I think it is because the others will quickly follow needing replacement anyways. My printer worked perfectly once I finally got it to recognize that the drums had been replaced. It took my computer quite a few tries before it recognized I had new drums, & the code finally cleared. It asks as you go through the steps, so I knew I did it right, it just had a delayed response for some reason. So happy that my printer is up working again. Good, reliable purchase!

I was surprised at how much the print quality improved after I changed out the drums. They are super easy to replace. If you've replaced the tone cartridges before, you already know how to replace the drums. The cost is very reasonable.

Standard manufacturer's replacement parts that came quickly. Definitely feel they are over priced for what they are, but it fixed the printer issues. FYI: There is a menu selection that will tell you how worn your toner drums are. Check this first if you start seeing streaks, drops or clouds on your printed sheets. Chances are your drums need to be replaced. I often see this when they get below 20%. Beats buying a new printer!

I purchased this drum unit on February 4th and today, April 6th, it died. My printer will no longer function because it is requesting a new drum unit. I would expect a $125 Genuine Brother drum unit to last longer than 2 months. Return window has closed and any links for support send me to the Brother website. Very disappointed!

One of these drums had a plastic thing that was supposed to be removed after the molding process. This didn't let the toner fit properly which led to damage both the toner and the drum.

I got this for work, it was easy to set up, and works just as good as the original drums after installing.

I was most pleased with my old colour laser printer. However every time I replaced the toner cartridges I thought I needed my head read. This toner is reasonably priced and produces nice outcomes. Glad I found it!

Had problems with some of my old drums. Replaced all, no problem-would buy again. Price is good too.

Had issue with one of my drums leaving dark spots on the paper. I replaced all 4 and prints like new again

Have not had to replace the original drum units to date. These are a better price point than the OEM replacements. However, the quality has yet to be determined.
