Looks like glass when done. I purchaed the 2mm. Use a sharp blade in order to cut and start peeling the piece up as you cut and it will make it that much easier. I found that placing it in the shower with hot water for a minute or so helps the product to soften so you can roll it in the opposite direction as it curls, and dry it while unrolling it on the surface you're placing it on. It didn't have much of an odor and the thickness works well. It seems to scratch a little easy but better than ruining furniture. Worth the price and better than buying a glass top. The instructions could have been better so that's why I rated it a four. I recommend it and it looks like it's going to last a long time.

I love that the protector looks like glass, is easy to clean and protect the integrity of my wooden table… it is thick and clear & easy to install .. as for the price, I think the durability makes it worthwhile, if you care about your furniture, this is a great buy!

Before ordering I read seemingly endless reviews, especially those with videos.I noted the advice and suggestions from all and carefully measured my table. I chose the textured vinyl because I have cats who respect no boundaries, with hopes that the texture might blur potential scratches. Before applying the topper to my wood tabletop I placed it outside in the bright sunlight which heated it significantly. With my daughter’s assistance, I easily unrolled the vinyl onto my tabletop. Because the vinyl was already warm it immediately laid nearly flat. We placed a few heavy objects on top of it and within a few hours it was completely flat. There was minimal vinyl odor which dissipated overnight. I couldn’t be more pleased; just wish I had ordered it sooner. My lovely wood tabletop shows through beautifully and the vinyl is thick enough to protect it from damage. Fit is perfect! My suggestion; read and heed reviews about measuring and choices of shiny vs textured.I hope this is as helpful as those reviews I read.

I wish I knew about this plastic cover when I first bought my table it would have saved it from the minor dents and scratches.

I have plants on a nice credenza and always concerned about overwatering getting on the wood so added this. Fits as ordered but I cut it in half easily with a straight edge and a sharp utility knife.Looks and functions really well!

It looks so neat and elegant. Stays in place. I have it on a marble table. Yeah there are some air bubbles. But overalll I’m super happy with it. I just wish the size I needed was available in the thicker option. I’m using the 1.5mm. Highly recommend. Great value It’s not perfect but for the price ur paying its worth it!

Considero que el producto se veía elaborado de material muy sencillo y hasta sin calidad, como un simple plástico medio grueso, además de que el corte mostraba bordes irregulares y chuecos, creo que el precio está demasiado elevado para la poca calidad del producto, cabe mencionar que terminé devolviéndolo ya que yo había ordenado el protector de mesa con acabado esmerilado (martillado), y me llegó el producto incorrecto, el proveedor lo mandó con acabado transparente y se negó a corregir el problema.
