I love crows. Maybe that is weird, but I do, and I have always wanted to be able to mimic their sound. This call is better than I expected. Just be warned that it is very loud (like real crows can be). The sound really does carry. I am not a hunter or anything; just someone who is fascinated by birds and always wanted to talk to them.

Is this a crow call? Yes. Does it work great and call the crows? Also yes. For those reasons I give it four stars. However, I would be mindful depending upon what your crow call goals are. I had several crows that visited our house religiously, for snacks every morning for two and a half years. We never personally interacted and I wanted to call them during the day, give them treats, and build up a friendly relationship. I bought this crow call and called them one afternoon. It worked beautifully, they flew right over! They wouldn’t land but they cawed and we interacted for about ten to fifteen minutes and I left them some nuts. That was almost a month ago and they have not been back to my house since. Straight up ghosted. These crows visited every morning for snacks for almost 900 days … and poof… gone. What did I say to them? Did I threaten to disappear their entire family if they landed in my yard again? Pluck their feathers one by one? I am truly disappointed and saddened by their departure. I know they’re still around, they’re just not visiting me. So be warned, use of this or any crow call may have unintended results.

I recently purchased the Primos Hunting Crow Call for turkey hunting, and it has exceeded all my expectations! As a seasoned hunter, I know how important it is to have the right tools in your arsenal, and this crow call is definitely a game-changer. It is very easy to use. Just simply blow into it and the sound quality is outstanding. When i first received it I practiced outside. Immediatly I had several crows calling back and circling my house. It has proven to be especially helpful in locating turkeys during the early morning hours when they’re just starting to move. The design is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry without taking up much space in my gear bag. The call is also durable, and it feels like it can withstand a lot of use without losing its performance. This crow call functions exactly the way you would expect. It’s affordable, reliable, and a must-have for anyone serious about hunting. I’ve had great success with it. Highly recommended!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I picked this puppy up after doing a price check at my local Academy and Bass Pro Shops. When I checked on here and saw it was on sale for FAR LESS than what they were asking for, I had to order it! I use this call in the mornings to signal to the crowd around my house than I’m throwing out corn or seeds or silk worms. Honestly, makes my mornings using this call and the instructions on the back help for those who don’t know how to use the call. Love it! Value for money: Excellent quality! I blew into this a couple times, and within one minute, I had a dozen crows in my backyard tree. I was under the impression that it took awhile to learn how to use it correctly, to get the right sound, but that's not the case. It's really easy. Zero crows to a dozen in one minute. Amazing!

I was excited to find an actual crow call for sale, and while this is well made, it's little more than a loud kazoo. You need time and practice for it to sound like a real crow, (something which I can do with my voice alone.) I'm sure in the right hands with someone very familiar with crow calling, it works perfectly well, but don't think this is a pick-up & crows come immediately, kind of thing. it's not. Knowledge of what crow calls sound like, patience & practice are needed.
