Small, but powerful and efficient
We needed a new sharpener for home. Since colored pencils get sharpened the most, I went with this one. I bought these for my children to safety sharpen their pencils and coloring pencils. It works perfectly well and is easy for them to operate. We got a nice sharp and a long-lasting point. The container with the shavings is easy to open and empty, but I don't allow them to do it themselves -- the mess potential is tremendous.

Breaks the pencil tip.
This sharpener doesn’t work very well. You have to use quite a bit of pressure to get it to actually sharpen, rather than just spinning the pencil in your hand. With the amount of pressure you have to use, the points break off inside the sharpener. Then you have to try to sharpen it again, hoping you don’t break the tip off again! When it works, it makes a very sharp point!

Great sharpener
I really like this sharpener, does the job and isn’t too big. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the pencil shavings get caught around the sharpener and make it slower, so just keep it clear so the shavings don’t get wrapped around the blade but other than that a great buy!

Working only manually
It never worked for us. We kept it and use it manually. It works fine like that, but not as intended with batteries.

I didn't want to pay 20 dollars + for a large plug in pencil sharpener. We homeschool and I wanted something small and durable. I put batteries in as soon as I got it. It worked great. It sharpens dull pencils so quickly. So far this gets used every day. It takes up almost not space. I would highlyreccomend.

cheap and works
i had about 40 pencils I needed to be sharpened and no one seems to use pencils anymore. shopped at the usual office supplies stores - didn't want to spend $40+ dollars. this was perfect and low cost. so for cheap this got the job done - 40 times and counting
