More than I asked for! Excellent!
First off, my duckweed arrived in a bottle, like a medical bottle. I received so much more than 1000! Sadly most of it died which is my fault, not the sellers, I'll explain. I had asked a friend to pick up my mail the day it arrived because I was at work. The friend bailed on me, had better things to do and the duckweed sat in a metal parcel locker in the sun four 3+ hours in 90+ degrees which in the metal parcel locker was probably 100+ degrees. It was pretty much white from being cooked. I did separate all the green ones from the center I could find and waiting to see if they recover. Next time I will be ordering in cooler weather and yes I will order from this seller again, even though the duckweed was mostly gone I could see it was heat damage and not a bad batch. The roots are long and I could see how healthy they all where! Ok now it smells extremely bad. Even when it's a good batch it's gonna smell like death warmed over, this is stagnant pond water it's in. So be prepared for that and maybe open outside. To help the smell, just put it in maybe a different container and use dechlorinated water and swap out some of the water and the smell will reduce. It's gonna be going through a bit of transfer shock so give it some time to quarantine and recover before throwing it in your tank or pond.

HORRIBLE plants DEAD ON ARRIVAL - NO SURVIVING THEM
I was hopeful... but greatly disappointed. At least the plants were not shipped in a plastic bag, but a specimen jar, so that was good. Out of 1000+ plants, NONE were green. Notta. All brown. And, there is nothing in the Amazon description that states they cannot be placed in an outdoor pond. That is why I purchased them in the first place. The instructions that arrived with these dead plants states that they will have a putrid sewage smell with some explanation as to why. It also says that some will not be green and that is normal... well, mine stayed brown for about 5 days, and I discarded them all.I quarantined them, as stated in the instructions. I would have NEVER tossed them into my pond or aquarium. I love my fish too much for that. It also states that duckweed is very hard to kill. Well, I guess that if you place them in a covered container and ship them to other states, that is one way to kill them.No SUN???.... so if you have a pond that has direct sun, that is the second way to kill duckweed. So, feel free to toss these in your shady swamp and enjoy!!I would have rather taken my $7 and purchased a BK Whopper. The sellers should explain exactly what these are, and how they are to be grown. Not after receiving the product, but before, like in the Amazon description. Shame on them.No direct sunlight??? No where in the description does it say for indoor growing only. But on the packing slip, that is exactly what it states.Go somewhere else and purchase quality plants. As you can tell, I am not happy at all with this seller or the plants that they bagged from their backyard swamp and are selling on Amazon.I thought at least I could get a runaway snail in the batch, but that didn't happen either.

Good value. Better than expected
Based on several reviews, I was worried about what I would receive, but am happy with the purchase. The package did not smell as others have said, and all of my duckweed was in great condition. There were some black pieces of something in the bags with the duckweed, and I can’t tell if it’s bark or little sticks, but it doesn’t look like pests. I have 2 30 gallon buckets where we hold water with small pumps to add to the pond as needed. I added the duckweed to these buckets to quarantine until they multiply and to keep any possible pests out of the pond. We already have some snails in the bottom of these buckets, so I won’t be able to determine if there were any eggs in with the duckweed I received. We purchased some duckweed last year from another seller, and it had the awful smell many speak of, but this shipment did not.

SNAIL TRANSFER AND DEAD LEAVES
I mostly got roots and dead leaves, I understand duckweed can grow from just the roots and what little green leaves there are, but my tank now looks like there is dog hair floating all through it and not much surface coverage. Also, snail transfer!! I got 1 or 2 invasive ramshorns with this batch. Luckily this is my shrimp tank so no big deal... but if this would have been my betta tank I would have been extremely mad! Definitely quarantine the plants before putting them in your tank if you don't want these little buggers. I'm hoping these roots create some new leaves soon or this would have been a major waist of money and I really hope my giant duckweed isn't the same way... it'll be delivered today so, we'll see.

INVASIVE SNAILS
Half of it arrived dead and sunk to the bottom of my tank, and within the first 24hr I have found 4 snails so far. Wouldn't recommend for people who are trying to stay away from invasive snails like me.

JUST KNOW THIS
The media could not be loaded. When I first got the container everything seemed fine. I then noticed a worm like thing in the package and what looked like a purple bead.I messaged the seller and he said the worms were ‘ good ‘ for the fish and the bead was fertilizer. I work as a aquarium technician and I will say that INCH WORMS ARE NOT SAFE FOR FISH I know it was a inch worm ( I work outside a lot )I then found snails ( the video and picture shows some ) and I haven’t heard back from the seller. These snails are pest snails. Thankfully my package came in late so they all died.. hopefully. But just so you all know these have PEST snails, ones that over run the tank and cause issues.UPDATE: entirely killed my tank. All my guppies dead, my shrimp dead, plants died, and snails died. Had to restart my year old breeding tank. This was for my WORK and now I had to restart it. I’m absolutely furious the fact that I listened to the seller saying “ the snails that come with the plants are good food “ NO THEY ARE NOT
