Amazing smoke for an amazing price
Absolutely perfect! My husband and I have been wanting a smoker for so long and when this come on sale we had to have it. It’s so easy to use and we put it together in less than an hour. It holds the heat well and is the perfect size for what we like to do to. We love to entertain and it can hold so much food. Definitely recommend the purchase.

What a great product
Used my grill/smoker Memorial Day weekend and boy was it an easy process. Seasoning was also an easy process. Instructions were easy to follow. Only problem I had was I overloaded it and didn't allow extra time to cook throughly. So, I just had to cook longer than anticipated. I can't say enough good things about this grill/smoker. It's an amazing outstanding product. Cleanup was a breeze.

If you're trying to decide between pit boss and traeger...
We moved across the country last year and had to leave our smoker behind as there was no way to bring it without making everything we owned smell like smoke. I love my new home, but I miss the food in Texas. It became pretty clear to me that I'd have to make it myself if I wanted anything with a little flavor. (We moved to central pennsylvania for those wondering)We previously owned a pit boss pellet smoker of the same size. I knew I wanted to stick with a pellet smoker for the ease of use, but sticking with pit boss was out of the question, as we had issues with it from day one.I am very happy we decided to spend a little more for the brand. I've cooked on it a couple of times and am already noticing how much better it is at staying within less than 10° of the set temperature, the lack of hot spots, how much more user friendly it is, the quality of the components such as the computer and auger, and most importantly, how much better my food tastes. I had to babysit my food on my last smoker due to the hot spots and poor temperature regulation. It was frustrating and time consuming, but we kept it because it got the job done. Also appreciate the cute illustrations inside the box. We taped over the staples, made a cutout for the door, and our son has been using it as his little hangout spot.I've not owned it long enough to comment on longevity.

If you need something this big, It great!
This is a great smoker. It's a Traeger, and I had high expectations that it didn't disappoint. That said, this thing is giant; I did not need anything this big. I just wanted a quality smoker, found this at a good price, and jumped on it. As a recommendation for others, I would consider how much you intend to smoke at one time and purchase something more appropriately sized. I would guess my pellet consumption is far greater than it needs to be to heat this giant. I use a full bag of pellets in a 12-hour smoke.

Great Purchase!
We love this! Smoked a large pork butt and a large brisket this past weekend for a get together. Turned out great. We did need to cut the pork butt in half and put one half in our electric smoker so that we could have room for our smoked baked beans. We weren't' able to use the top rack due to the thickness of the meats.Everyone said it was the best brisket we've made yet and we pride ourselves on making an awesome brisket.Tonight my husband made steak and asparagus in the smoker. He kind of overcooked the asparagus. The steak was better than any restaurant steak. I can't wait to smoke a chicken next!We found the temperature probe not to be accurate. We had a 2nd probe that was Pit Boss brand. It wasn't accurate at all. After putting the grill together (he couldn't wait for me to get home and put together in our living room) and taking outside, we found a dent on the side of it. However, this did not affect heat or smoke that we could see.

Best smoker I have ever owned, and I am particular!!
This pellet smoker is awesome. I have used all kinds of smokers over the years. I used to go out in the woods and cut my own hickory trees down. I would cut them up into chunks and use them on a charcoal smoker just to get the smoke flavor. I would get out of bed every 3 hours in the middle of the night just to tend to the wood smoker. I’ve progressed from charcoal to gas smokers, to electric and everything in between even a few DIY builds along the way.. My Masterbuilt electric smoker died a while back and I bought this one. I was skeptical at first that I made the right choice however, after using it several times I have fallen in love. It works great, has a really good flavor, and it’s really easy to use. I know the diehard “pit bosses” will say anyone can use those and make good food. Well yea, that’s the point. I just want good food!! I don’t need bragging rights. I’ll let the food do the talking.I was skeptical that it was going to use a lot of pellets, but it doesn’t. It takes a little bit to bring it up at temperature but once it gets there, it just sips on pellets and hardly uses any at all. I have smoked for probably 100 hours at 225* and I’ve only used maybe 40 pounds of pellets $16/ 40lb bag at Lowe’s (Walmart is cheaper, but they don’t have a good selection and depending on the time of year all mine has is busted bags no one wants).I wouldn’t use this grill to cook burgers or a steak. Don’t get me wrong you can and I have done burgers. It’s not the best grill for that though. Like I said, it uses a fair amount of pellets to get up to temp. Running it at high heat for a short period of time is not super efficient. I’d opt for my charcoal grill for those tasks. IMHO.
