Good, adjustable, could be more durable/cheaper
Easy to install, good quality. The design of the adjustable ring-spring thingies to make it change direction... not bad. The design from a multi-year standpoint... mediocre. There are too many wimpy joints, spots where you can see it's going to be a liability to even look at it wrong after the system's been running for several years, but these do a good job and are fairly easy to replace, and don't need a lot of maintenance. The price still seems to be a little high on these after they've been around so long, but - they are still good pop-ups.

Yeah, I mowed my sprinkler head too
If you're considering one of these, chances are you ran over one with your mower like I did. My local hardware store had other versions, but this was the same model number as the one I broke, and I wasn't exactly sure what the "water saving" version would do. How's that work, anyway? Wouldn't you create the same effect by shortening the watering times? Anyway, I need to match the flow rates of the other sprinklers. They're not hard to replace or adjust. If it weren't for the dirt, it's as easy as changing a lightbulb. The way I got the old one out was to drive a shovel into the dirt in a circle about 8 inches from the center of the sprinkler head. Then I lifted off the "dirt doughnut with grass sprinkles" and flipped it onto the lawn. Then I did the finer work with a small shovel, and dug down around the base of the sprinker head. With no dirt touching the sprinker head or connecting pipe, it is an easy matter to unscrew it by hand. Sometimes it doesn't go so smoothly. I've had the little connector pipe break a couple of times. If that happens, don't worry. You just need 2 more things: a new piece of threaded pipe and a " 1399 STUB EXTRACTOR WRENCH " that helps you get the old one out. You force the stub extractor wrench into the pipe, and its sharp sides bite into the smooth inside diameter. When you turn the T handle, the connector pipe unscrews from the socket. Once you've got the broken connector out, you can wrap the new connector's threads with teflon tape, and screw it loosely into the sprinkler head. Then wrap the connector with fresh Teflon Threaded Seal Tape, 1/2" x 260" , and screw the new one back on. Fill in the dirt, replace the grassy doughnut, and it's installed! To adjust it, just rotate the little clips until it cycles correctly, and turn the little interference screw if it shoots too far. Beware the delivery date. For me, delivery took about 3 weeks. It was within the estimated time, so I was forewarned, but still, it seems like a long time.

Do you really plan on changing the water flow?
I bought this particular one because I was just being lazy. I knew I could replace my existing damaged sprinkler with this popup, but didn't look to see if they had any other sprinklers without the extra nozzles. I would have saved myself some money. So, I will have to give it an excellent because I know that it is a very good sprinkler. If you want to save yourself some money, and you don't plan on changing the nozzles, I suggest looking for a sprinkler that comes with the standard nozzle.
